  1. That was very good.
  2. And eventually Port.
  3. I have zero hope we will win a flag in 25. I think we won't even make the finals. Our fwd line is still a mess. Our midfield has imploded. Oliver's form all over the place. Tracca and Viney's murmurings about leaving. Injury cloud over Tracca. Anb moved on. It's hard to fathom how much we have fallen in three years. Id like to be positive but it's extremely hard to do so the way we finished this year and all the off field antics Playing for the Mfc is a privilege and a few players need to recognize this. I hope the club is lethal in it's pruning in the next few months. And despite our lack of depth, I hope next year players are relegated to the twos after insipid efforts and not constantly gifted games they don't deserve.
  4. Absolute credit to Jack Viney for flying the flag. I hope he doesn't leave us
  5. I don't reckon that was a three week punishment despite Kozzies record. It was about three weeks as much as Maynard s was a footy act. Kozzie needs to reign his aggression in but first and foremost let's gets some damned consistentency going in the punishment department. It's an absolute joke. The bloke from Port gets a massive term but Maynard last year walks away totally free while Eddy from Cwood dances and sings about justice and Gus has to hang up the boots. Maynards not the reason we finished 14 th. Not many would agree with you there. He certainly was a part of the reason we didn't win that final last year .( But Laurie as sub was on Goody). I do find it very strange and bias that last year after Maynard walked away free that the Afl only started to get tough on players. It's hard to not be cynical and wonder why he escaped retribution and subsequent offenders didn't. Hard not to feel justice wasn't achieved...politics isn't in play and that last year's premiers not only scraped through every final ( including the grand) but it's so called tough guy got a free pass. Tbh I think Maynard walking after knocking Gus out and retiring him while KP gets three weeks for his act absolutely STINKS. And yes the Afl has cracked down since Gus went down and credit for that but it really does highlight how Maynard getting zippo was so very wrong. I find it a real blight upon the game if I'm honest. And while it's difficult to separate one's self from ones bias and passion it's not hard to see that him getting NO suspension at all is just wrong. Our legal system outside the Afl has something called precedent. If the Afl operate under this method with Maynard as the case measure.....it's pretty much a free pass for everyone outside of head butting umpires again. Unless they played for Cwood at one time
  6. How's Maynard's form going after Kozzie. The hypocrisy.
  7. It's a difficult question. I mean I believe there are some issues but I feel airing them and washing our linen in public could make matters worse. The media would love it . An internal one would be best.
  8. I'd say that if Tracca moves on that he's actually lost some value as well. That injury has had severe impact on mind and body and going fwd he's an unknown quantity somewhat. Oliver has definitely dropped. So has Petty. That's three of the comps biggest names.
  9. Thanks for that I needed a laugh. That's the furniture that when I was a little one my Italian mates parents had and the left the plastic wrapping on it forever. Probably quite comfortable without the plastic. Northa Melbourne and a Fooootascray.
  10. I reckon a lot of these stories are just articles to advertise products like kayo and other things.
  11. Thanks SoNS In finding 14 to 15 (Gus and Nibbler don't count) then it helps explain why are season was so bad at times. I hope if we go poaching for some top up experience we do much better. I miss not playing finals. Big time
  12. Are the One more year??? Players contracted? If possible I'd recommend keeping only Spargo , Woey and maybe Hore. The rest of , we should delist. I mean we haven't played Fullerton all year....why keep him. Laurie never seems to excel. Billings all over the place. McAdam the same. Well maybe Billings gersa second chance but that's it. Agree with giving Tmac another year especially if Tommo is moving on and Milk due to fwd line issues. So that would be around 15 gone.....in 15 seconds . I don't like the term list cloggers and a couple in that 15 are fantastic players. But 2024 did see us with a lot of players we simply never played or ones that simply didn't perform on a regular basis. 15 is a fair amount for sure.
  13. Are all these rumour pieces about the Mfc , on News.com.su simply a ploy to advertise kayo. Every single article from them has an big add for Kayo.
  14. Having the all of around five gamer Laurie as the sub when Gus went down wasn't exactly a great move. The bloke had zero experience but chosen for a final. Still boggles the mind. Not sure what Goody was thinking then.
  15. Two percent for blues.....nuffies.
  16. Do we really think Tracca will go? A mate of mine suggested that was why he was so forgiving of pies players in his last game when injured. I haven't spoken to my mate since. I reckon Tracca will stay. Certainly he would go to the dark side .
  17. Living rent free. Pies are simply not that good a team. They have flogged us twice at the G this year. It's a mindset. Mind you they do tend to end players careers, so there's that. I wish we would respond.
  18. As Bt would say.... Gee wizz What a cat amongst the pigeons is the Dockers losing Given their high percentage, they would have catapulted above gws into third or fourth. Such a huge loss that sees them miss out on finals. Probably one of the better teams. Now gws face off against Swan's. Despite this season's results Gws usually have the measure of Sydney. Should be interesting. As for Port winning in Perth....a case of form v lack of with port winning four on a row and docker's the opposite. Port are seriously overated in second spot as well having had six games this season decided by a goal or less. And Port won all six of those. Wow. Blues are the luckiest club in the comp and go into finals very underdone. Unless Curnow plays they are done and dusted. Here's hoping. Sydney have a severe case of the wobbles at the wrong time . Port despite being as described are choc full of form and confidence. I guess Swans are still faves but gws and despite being fifth....the lions are the threat.
  19. Great post and good to see someone sticking up for Tmac. Despite having a couple of horrors towards the end of the year while playing on some elite talented opposition he has been very good. Has reinvented himself again going back to his original charge and has done exceptionally well. So much so, he deserves another year. Thanks guys for some great pcasts and dealing with my venting and negativity. Enjoy the cricket.
  20. He is a gun when on . But he's a player that thrives on space and one on one competitions Coaches just jam our fwd line up and our mids haven't exactly given fast delivery. But I agree about his lack of pressure. Really needs to lift helping lock the ball up. A month ago when we were still a statistical chance, his lack of chasing was very evident and didn't look good at all.
  21. I used to think he was close to becoming another Petracca, and but he hasn't really evolved. He's as solid and probably close to as strong as CP but I don't think he reads the play as well. He tackles hard and notches up a lot of them but yea I'm sure your opinion of him is not unique. Can't imagine we would get a great deal for him but he does have a lot of experience under his belt now, so you never know. Unfortunately we don't have a great deal of midfield depth so it might be wiser to hang onto him for emergencies. But it's not the strongest of arguments to keep him on.
  22. Fair call. I'd probably give Milk another lap.
  23. If so it's disappointing. Maybe wise from an injury perspective. I keep thinking poor Milkshake in the last h and a round last year. But from a payback perspective not so much. Just saying. #windowwideopen4deesflag25.
  24. Good observation upon his form. Really dried up midway though the season. He is a skilled player that thrives in space. One on one it a fwd line with lots of spare real estate he thrives and makes defenders very nervous And so quick to get ball upon boot. I think towards the middle of the season our midfield slowed down and our entry fwd was slow, clumsy and methodical and therefore resulted in Fritta not being able to utilize his talents. That said his last six to seven games have been well off. There were clear occasions where he was injured or of not, then evident that he could not be bothered chasing and or tackling opposition players in the slightest. And at that point, statistically speaking, we could still play finals Jvr and Kozzie despite spending more time in the middle scored the same number of goals for 24 as for 23. Fritta went backwards. But maybe our fwd inside 50 s were down because I know our midfield was or maybe it's as you infer...due to other issues. He's a rare talent and I hope a good pre season sees him back to his lethal left foot best in 25.
