  1. Playing like Maynard's driving.
  2. That tigers player can go fishing next round or two.
  3. Decent crowd. Go Richmond.
  4. It's hard being a father. So credit given Binners. We are so often the least in the pecking order. Footy is the one big refuse we get in today's hectic plethora of demands of bills, car services, lawns mowed, gutters cleaned, tax returns and a growing list of other demands. But footy really comes into its own when it can be shared with our better halves and our kids and their kids. How awesome to share our passion of our club with the loves of our lives. It even makes up for all the losses we take.
  5. Seems to be really struggling with his body. A bloke that has always gone exceptionally hard at the comp and seems to unfortunately be paying the price.
  6. If Milkshake gets up and about this year given all his injuries past and present, it will be a phenomenal effort. And I will add, a much needed one. At his best he is an absolute gun but he has always seemed to struggle to keep his form constant and play a string of many great games. I still believe his injury against the Swans cost us a flag. Yea, he's one player but he was in career best form when he went down in an already what was then a much depleted fwd line.
  7. Well said. As opposed to giants efficiency it played its usual part. Sadly the praccy game v freo didn't show any improvement in this department.
  8. You shine some significant light on this . It makes me believe that when we play our best we are up there with the best.
  9. Yea was a crucial game. Shame we lost. We really seemed to have the ascendency up to the end of q3. Alas Gws did what we were famous for and throw a bang, bang and bang at us and the rest as they say was history. In perspective it was still a great effort from us. I mean Gws are a top side and got evicted out of finals by a goal or less in both their finals. Finally being eliminated by the premiers so there's that. I also reckon the umpiring was soft in both those finals. Will be a tough opening game but I'm hoping the home ground advantage will help.
  10. Cheers FD I've been trying to ascertain who has the greatest loss of talent. Hogan and TG are massive but so are KP and Anb. I think the latter is going to be a big loss for us overall for the entire season. I felt that Nibbler had an ordinary season last year by his standards and I think it played a significant part in our final position. He is such an underrated player in the comp and his work ethic is second to none. Huge loss I don't feel we have enough talent to be able to let Tracca and KP play fwd as much as we would like and unfortunately need. The fwd line looks rather sketchy for mine and like last year we will struggle to accumulate scores around the Benjamin Franklin Mark or as I like to say in my invented Aussie parlance, a watermelon. ( The one hundred dollar note). Alas speaking of food, I'm waffling now. If only we could entice a Hogan like fwd to play for us.i don't want to see Petty there again and Jvr while doing well, seemed to not really progress last year . I'm really hoping for Turner to be the surprise package this year alongside Kozzie who although unlucky needs to reign in the agro and elbow . Despite all this with Petty back where he belongs, our backline will do well and as such I think we will win this game and the two after which should set us up nicely . It's going to be a tough season. I think also our midfield will be tested. Obviously their are clouds still over the heads of Tracc and Oliver but with Max and Jv getting older, this will also be a factor and Tom Sparrow after a long time still seems in no man's land . I don't mean to sound so negative but I feel the club has relied too much on the backline for too long and hasn't been as proactive as they could have been in bolstering our midfield and fwd line. Hopefully I'm all wrong on this and we have a bumper season with a massive harvest of goals and defeated opponents. Cheers. So close now.
  11. Yea it's true. Jackson has torn us up a few times. Have we had a few come to us and do similar? Would be great to capture that in some sort of bottle.
  12. But sadly to absolutely no avail. I'm hoping Disco stands tall this year instead.
  13. Just watched the Freo pre season game. Our goal kicking efforts are still atrocious. Fgs can we fix this issue Not only do we not have a potential fwd line, we still can't kick straight. Tracca really needs to improve in this area. And I don't know what's happened to Fritta. He's joined the others.
  14. Why do ex club member always play so well v their old teams? Hogan was the difference in that last quarter and pretty much stole the game from underneath us. Is he injured ATM?
  15. Is Milkshake up and about? He was a wildcard and in career best form before he went down in that Swans game . Is he fit and injury free? Plays taller than he actually is and brings tonnes of experience.
  16. Yea huge positive from it. The usual more i50s I think though. Strange. But our never say die ethos is back which is great and somthing that saw us be so successful in 21.
  17. How old are you? 15. Ha.
  18. He's not welcome in my book. He seemed to have checked out too early on the field before leaving. Not very classy. If he wants to change clubs again, surely you would be skeptical of recruiting him.
  19. A decent take away from the game. They need all the confidence they can get. Let's hope this game gives that.
  20. Thanks for that. Perhaps you noticed these less than enthusiastic attempts as well. It certainly would explain them. Cheers HT. Enjoy the rest of the game and do what I'm doing. Curled up in a fetal position repeating ad nauseam.....it's only a practice game. I've had to cut back on my bourbon to payo for kayo this year.
  21. He hasn't been the same since his injury.
  22. Our 21 forward line was a total different kettle of, as they say, the proverbial fish. Tmac was there and while he fell away towards the end of the season in 21, he was a gun for at least the first twelve rounds. He killed it. Alongside him we saw the last great year of Bbb. While a shadow of his 3 consecutive h and a goal scorer winning self, he was a potent foil alongside Tmac and Fritta who had a great year and pickeed up the slack when Tmac dropped off. Frittata's six goal gf haul was an example of where he was at four years ago. Throw in big bad Jackson who while didn't kick a heap, took a good defender and certainly bought the ball to ground and saw the likes of Nibbler, Spargo and Kozzie at their best. Cameos by Tracc, Sparrow and Harmes didn't do any harm. We got away with it because we had more depth. While we lost Jackson through club move and Bbb through injuries we had Grundy that didn't do much but helped a little. We also had Smith and Milkshake as pinch hitters there. Last year revealed how big a problem our fwd firepower was lacking. Petty was all at sea and devoid of any confidence. Kozzie was in the middle and Tracc was out. It was really left to Jvr who has shown great promise but kind of went sideways last year and not what I expected. As a side....I'll be watching him close this year as he will be important to our success. Fritta went backwards imho. Not so much because he kicked less goals but he looked like at not a few times,l he had lost passion. Too many times I saw him jogging after a few opposing players rather than sprint. His tackle count was too low and he seemed to be doing as little as possible. A shame with Fritta because he is a freak of a talent. I get the same feeling about Kozzie at times. I love the bloke but not convinced he's as yet to give 100 % week in week out. He's young so there's still time for him to go next level to game changer status. Turner will be an interesting one and like Jvr could be the difference. I think on the balance of all things is that there is no proven certainty or confidence that this fwd line will kick 100 points on a regular basis like Sydney's. I hope I'm wrong. Maybe it's the smalls who will surprise us all but Anb is a big loss in this area. I would love the luxury of playing Tracc fwd full-time but when we are fielding Sparrow and Billings I'm not sure we can afford this. Plus if we are being honest there are some big ifs hanging over the heads of Tracc and Oliver. I know this all sounds very negative and maybe it is but there are a lot of ifs and maybes going into this season. A lot. It's like being a Dees supporter of old again.😃l l
