  1. Felt the same way. But after the hawks draw I started thinking that on paper we should have beaten them and the giants. Ok we dropped against pies and crows was bad luck. But we certainly had it in our reach to finish top four and give anyone a run for their money. Dream run injury wise. So if we cant this year i cant see next year either. You dont get many chances in afl and i feel now the hawks game was just the last one we have missed. Like last year when we switched off two easy games in a row to miss finals we have lost top four and i fear we will lose interstate. I guess there is still a glummer of hope but it seems smaller and smaller each round. I wish the club as well as the players would just stop talking at times like this and win lose or draw just play footy. Nothing but an absolute belting of gc will suffice. Nothing. Its at the point now where i feel clubs are excited to play us. Tmac has gone missing at the wrong time and was a huge part of our early record. Kozzie was the same. Luke Jackson needs to be dropped but i dont think weid is a replacement. Spargo needs to get his hands on the ball. Vineys nothing like he used to be and we seem better without him. Rivers....see Tmac.
  2. Apologies for misrepresentation. My bad.
  3. Less talking lads....and more winning. Thats all.
  4. I agree Spargo has great use if the ball but he just hasnt been getting it of late. I would not mind him having time in the middle but hes in a slump
  5. Yea your right. 25 to 11 frees on a very wet night had no impact whatsoever on the result.
  6. In....some genuine pride of the club.....a line in the sand and hunger to win and a few other platitudes. A return to how we were playing before the wheels fell off and we finally imploded against the hawks. Out.... constant fumbling....disgusting shots on goal.....usual slow starts....drinking the bathwater ......The coaches comment hes not worried. Perhaps vanders for Viney Someone for Spargo but im not sure who. Anyone for Jackson. Was great earlier but Hes certainly been cooked for the last two months. And a [censored] lot of hope.
  7. Just looking at the lack of posting lately on this site and i cant help but there is a sense of resignation we are done.
  8. True but how many think we will really win the next three given our last six. Sorry mate.
  9. Langdon has been a star for us this year but since he missed that one game has been not even half as good. Its made a big defference. Anb and jackson have gone exactly tge same way. Since vineys return our form has vanished. Bb should never have been dropped. Kozzie dissappeared for five weeks and tmac for the last three.
  10. Cant see us winning at kardinia. Maybe it will be moved or tge crowd shut out and we might be a slim chance but the cats we beat were at half strength.
  11. Our forward line is still broken. Not because bb is there. I believe he has been a welcome addition. Tmac is in a slump but its not that. Its Luk Jackson. He has plas yed 17 games and returned less than hslf a goal every game. And for those who argue what he adds in ruck...when the desire tskes max up fwd to stand in lukes place gawnie kicks even less thsn jackson. In effect bw the two of them they average less thsn a goal a game. If the same applied to tmac ...fritta....bb...kozzie we would be kicking ten goals a week if lucky. Oh wait thats familiar now. Goody seems blindsided tgat our fwd line is a fwd down and its stopping us from scoring.
  12. We may beat gold coast but one more win will see us tumble to five. Interstate final...game over. The flag was within our grasp five weeks ago but is slipping away befor our eyes. I think the hawks draw was the start of the end. Also there was a long time experimenting with our fwd line which i think goody was too stubborn about. Im sorry if this sounds too negative but i think its very much the hurtful truth. A horrible sgame given all the great games we played earlier. Langdon...anb...spargo...viney...jackson...hunt have been very inconsistent. So has tmac recently. So close we were but excluding a miracle turn around we are doomed. Been going in the wrong direction for six weeks four weeks before finals. Oh dees you really know how to stuff up at the right times. Really thought this was our year.
  13. I wouldnt mind if all podcaats and backslapping was cancelled until we hold up a cup.
  14. Its not last jights effort that may have cost top four and a flag its the silly lazy efforts against the lesser teams that will seal our fate. It happened last year when we were an easy chance for the eight but got beaten two weaks in a row about this time by lesser clubs. I really would like to understand how and why we lost to lower clubs. Because i think until we understand and resolve this we will never truly be a killer club Theres still a glimmer of hope but its fading fast. An insterstate final now seems likely and if we had beaten hawks it could have been avoided. I guess at the end of the day goody is right....there really are a lot of learnings to be learnt. And while appreciate our start and efforts to the season....its seems we have thrown a lot of that work away and i guess that is the really frustrating part. Heres a team with a clear window...no injuries but for whatever reason just didnt turn up on games we should have won easily. That has to do with their mindset and like last years equivalent....it seems to be a very difficult thing to change.
  15. Langers has picked the wrong end of the season to go on holiday. Jackson has been mia for weeks. We are a fwd down. Not sure if vineys the answer Spargo is all over the place.
  16. I really did feel the umps had a bee in their bonnet last night. Right from the very start. By half time in the most atrocious conditions the frees were 14 to four against. When the rain is pelting down that diffferential is much more amplified and we we were lucky to be only twenty odd down. The second half i guess the maggots realised the issue and gave us seven frees but just to be sure the dogs still got another ten. 25 frees to 11. On a dry night that would impact most games. On this shockjng wet event i beliveve it would seal any teams chances. Yes we missed too many shots but thats tge way we are. On a consistent and level with professionals adjudicating without obvious prejudice we would have at least been in it all the way. Watch tge replay and the frees paid and not paid ..where and when and it will show the umps were for whatever reason determined to see dogs get up. I wish the club would at least mention it. Dogs are the umps darlings without fail.
  17. Deep down i thought we might lose but we had our chances. We have hit a slump at tge wrong time. The umps really loved the dogs and the more than double frees was game over. Sadly it makes the losses and draw to the poor teams a real issye and may cost us the flag now.
  18. On a wet night 14 to 4 is a huge disparity. Ten more frees in these confitions is easily four goals.
  19. The dees triple again Slow start Poor kicking Dodgy umps.
  20. That explains a lot. The consistency tonight is non existant and they are picking them at will. It spoils it.
  21. I know its wet but im not sure jackson can mark much.
  22. I know i rabbit about the maggots but seven to two on a night like this is fourteen to four. Cheets cheets and cheets.
  23. That wasnt it but agreed that is a total disgrace. Wish the horse stepped on him.
