Farewell Clayton Oliver
The media talks about non bullying but love to put the boot into anyone.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Geez I can't believe he has seven years left on his contract. He was a fantastic player but you don't give anyone that sort of time.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I think I probably speak for not a few about Tracc and Oliver not playing for us next year. Part of me is frustrated that they could both return to form and we miss out on it. Their not exactly old for AFL players and just a couple over what I consider the prime years... Circa 25/26. Very grateful to them for being a huge part of our 21 success but partly annoyed with their apparent lack of sticking by their mates and club./ Although in Oliver's case it seems he's been somewhat forced with the prospect of being in the Magoo's. But a little miffed if honest if they simply don't want to play for the best club in the comp. As good as they've been they have been paid exceedingly well and given very long stability with their contract lengths. Maybe Tracc wasn't treated as well re the whole Moore incident but I don't really know all the ins and outs around it all So I guess on balance, I lean to being disappointed in them both. Anb moved for family reasons so that's different. Others have taken off for more cash. It's a job...I get that. But I do doubt the moves are $ motivated. So at the end of the day given they are both contracted........it's shows a lack of trust and possibly loyalty. I'm not sure if this feeling is right ( given how good they've been for us) but footy brings out strong visceral feelings and this is where I'm at Hopefully, we are well compensated and pick up some solid mids from somewhere. But Oliver showed some glimpses of his brilliance this year as did Tracc ( mostly in different games) and they have been guns.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
He managed 22 games last year. Must be fit. But certainly no spring chicken. So I hear you. Let's hope your fingers work.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
I vehemently disagree with this statement. Yes Goody was way off to play Petty fwd for 2 years who managed under a goal a game. Yes that's correct.....a season average over two years by of les than a goal a game from our tallest fwd. He did help out in the ruck a bit but wasn't very good. And for his athleticism and height he barely took any contested marks. He just doesn't have the core strength for the role. But we had a player in Fritta whose form like Milks would wax and wane ( more wane) with the latter starting the season relatively late. Kozzie understandably played more in the midfield so didn't kick as many rolls as he could have despite a pretty good season as usual. Jvr and the young Jeffo who was finally getting better were quite ordinary. And despite our often poor delivery i50 our fwd line was a bust.

I'm not against the idea but it's apples and oranges I was stoked about BBB because he was the highest h and a goal scorer three years in a row and five years younger. But with our current fwd line, we certainly need all the help we can get. I hope he makes a big difference like BBB.

One way or another it's going to be a very interesting season. For many reasons. Alas, I'm calling early the lions for the trifecta

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
At 47 probably a good deal better than our myopic Melbourne men.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
I hope we have not forked out too.much for him. He's 33 at the start of the next season and averages only just over a goal and half per game so it's nothing to swing from the chandelier about. But on balance not a bad call given the shape of our fwd line. But let's be honest it's another short term stop gap solution. I wish him the best.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I certainly understand the money we paid Tracc and Oliver. But were those contract lengths standard? Or did we overdo it? It's certainly come back to bite us.

2025 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver
His meltdown today says it all. Why are we settling on these extremely long contracts. Especially when players can seemingly break them.

And we lost Gus. Big changes certainly

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Clearly after almost 60 years of no cup, we were satisfied with one and have now gone back to the veil of negativity.

THANK YOU FROM DEMONLAND
Absolutely seconded. Thankyou.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
He helped us win a gf and not just the NS, so I shouldn't hold any grudges. He hasn't been awesome of late . But he could do a Dangerfield and thrive in his last eight years. I have no idea how the contract thing works. It's interesting that we may lose Oliver, Tracc on top of Anb. Some collective ball magnet and movers there. With May moved on and out fwd line still all over the place, King has his work cut out for him. 2026 is going to be tough.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
He seemingly wants out and if that's certain, than most of us probably don't want him around. He's been a great servant and done wonders for us but to move on now for some reason leaves a bad taste in my mouth. He has every right to pursue options for his financial future but ..... He is contracted. That should mean something. Even a handshake should. So maybe step back CP and ponder how you would like to remembered. And yes heaps of players leave clubs but it doesn't mean it's all fine and dandy to disrespect your written word. Maybe the club did wrong by him re the Darcy Moore incident so maybe he has an excuse I'll fence sit as per usual .

2026 Rule Changes
Fully agree, Mr Turner. Maybe because I'm an older afficianado of the game , I like the traditional aspects. So they have to rebounce a throw if the first one goes awry. Big deal. Is it so much of a disruption? Perhaps umps just need more experience. They certainly do with most of the rules.

Grand Final HT Entertainment
Ha ha ha Thanks heaps Forkem. I loved it. That border Collie was excellent. But Sailor (looked lke a different dog) if not under contract would be great addition to give us some speed and momentum out of our back line.

Trade Targets
Brisbane Lions. But on a serious note....we definitely need another proven ruck. Max is getting older despite still crushing it. What if he's injured. Two big experienced key fwds. One big experienced defender. A couple of killer mids. But I'm not up with who is available. I'm pretty sure we will see Tracc move on despite being contracted .Maybe Oliver .

Your really just too kind😀

Cats wobbles
This is true. But I'm not sure if our club can throw stones given what we did to Tracc. But I suppose that doesn't change things PF. Cheers. I don't know why I disdain Geelong almost as much as Cwood, Essendon, Port and Carlton. Funny how footy allegiances and enemies develop. But I digress. Let's hope the AFL throw the book at them.

Cats wobbles
I'm simply stating that according to the stats, we have been more successful in our finals then them. Now. Only because you've got me sidetracked Yea sure Id love to win more games and make finals. Bit what I was really trying to say and it was not too complicated, was that the pies get a hard time for failing in finals. But I think Geelong are better at it now and a name for it would be good because my annoying brother in law is a cats fan. And Im sick of being the bunnies the AFL always send down to Kardinia without exception. Any suggestions? Thanks.
