POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Agreed he has stepped up to another level all year. I used to wonder why he got games last year at times and cringed at his kicking on goal. Now a fully fledged premiership player and gives 100 percent. His passion for the club is evident. As for the umpiring I think we had a good run in the first half. Ironically in the 3rd q when we turned things around I thought the umps were below average. Other than that I didn't really notice them which in a granny is a good thing. Enjoy your blue ray.

Welcome to Demonland: Blake Howes
My favorite character shared the same surname as jumper number two. As for our new recruits, I can honestly say I believe the club can do no wrong with the selections they make these days. We have winners on and off the field in this club.

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
Not the appropriate thread and apologies if it's been dealt with. I watched the replay of the last h and a game against cats aka one of the best comebacks. In that last minute Gus was pinged for a deliberate or " insufficient intent" for a kick that slipped off his foot. Obviously given the amount of time left and the score nothing could have been less true. That umpire should be called out as not qualified to arbitrate any games. There are howlers we all make but that was the worst call ever and could have so easily cost us top spot.

PLAYER NUMBERS AND BEST TEAMS
I have never enjoyed footy so much as of the last six months and have never been so excited about the next season. I'm sure we all feel the same. Oh how sweet if this is another decade like the fifties or sixties and we win another 3 or four cups.

I think they wanted fathoms.

Welcome to Demonland: Blake Howes
That's going back a fair way. Interesting times when our tv content was probably more English than Yank. Although I do recall love they neighbor to be pretty racist. I loved the two Ronnie's but going back even further was Dads army. I discovered it on reruns on foxtel only later. It has to be one of the funniest shows ever made.

PLAYER NUMBERS AND BEST TEAMS
I still chuckle sometimes when I see Spartacus wearing number 9 which I still makes me think of Neitz. It's a big contrast but I'm starting to like him just as much. It couldn't have been easy for him to get where he has given his size.

Interesting Petty has pushed Adam out. I agree and forget that Petty is still very young. And DUNSTAN. I haven't really followed him but I'm glad you rate him. Sounds like the club has done well picking him.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I have found watching the replay while I go to sleep is great. Volume down low and funny enough I keep mildly stirring from my slumber at those critical moments in the third. Spooky but satisfying.

Bayley Fritsch 5-year deal
Sorry wrong thread ( again) Since I had to edit I'll just say Frittas the best.

Bayley Fritsch 5-year deal
Tx PRB. Salem took the most Mark's in the team but usually they are mostly the quick chip out of defence. Not taking anything away from him, he was terrific but I reckon Oliver was better with ten tackles and work in the clearances. But although he had less possies I would actually put Angus in front of them. He played his heart out, put his body on the line time after time and chose the granny to play the best game of his career and kicked true for once😁 which put us back in front.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Interesting to note that dogs had more kicks, handballs, mark's and tackles but still got pantsed.

I'm confused. I said the same thing except for Tmacs time being up. I'm sure he'll be back better than ever.

TX for that. And yes I wouldn't mind seeing Petty play forward.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
I agree about another key forward. Tmacs first half of the season was excellent and a big factor in us winning so many. But he did drop in form for a significant number of games and wasn't great in the finals. He seems to be either " on or off" for want of a better description. Great in 2017 but the opposite the year after. More consistency is required. And Sam W is an unproven forward still. We also need some younger fwd talent to be recruited if we are looking at flags in five years plus.

Bayley Fritsch 5-year deal
I agree that Trac tore it up and of course the medal was 100% his. But I was just wondering how close Fritta was? He must have been second. In the modern game six goals is a lot, especially in a final. I'm pretty sure the decision was made about CP quite quickly. But Im keen to hear opinions as to how many goals he would have needed for them to stop and consider BF. For arguments sake let's assume that his poster earlier in the game was a goal and the miss in the last quarter went through as well...would 8 goals have clinched it?
