  1. I could be off, but I thought it was pre-Gardner. I can't really see how we could link with an EPL side, or what we would get out of it.
  2. I think he needs to fix his footy smarts just as much as he needs to fix his body. Drives me mental more than any player on our list
  3. Absolutely. Thanks a lot for the report melbman, great work!
  4. I believe Meesen will have one year left come October 31st 2009. And I think it's far too early to be talking about possible de-listings next year, esp. after what happened this year with Garland, Warnock even CJ, Miller and Buckley.
  5. Absolutely, not to mention all the other benefits of the area
  6. Thanks a lot for your answer, and all information you provide on all things Casey. Certainly seems an odd decision, one that seems more bizarre with each new Casey development. I'd have wagered the benefits of Casey over a $1m asset.
  7. Makes me curious why the Saints were so keen to leave, any help CS? Aside from them wanting to strengthen their allegance to the bay (an area where most people, if they are going to get an AFL team, already have one)
  8. Not to mention D. Rich sliding! Gone from a possible number 1 to pick 11 according to Burgo. Indeed all these Phantom Drafts have proven to me only one thing so far...That one should never listen to Phantom Drafts
  9. and God I hope United get rolled tomorrow night Rooney Acts Decidedly Twatish
  10. Whatever happened with AC Milan?
  11. is right! Pretty easily the guy I've rated as our best, most talented, player for some time now. But every time I think of our No. 27 I'm starting to feel a sense of hopelessness
  12. 3 days in the bush to encourage team bonding? I'd prefer 3 weeks but oh well
  13. and the club is desperate for supporters to buy membership/renew before Christmas, I believe we want at least 15,000
  14. There's no auto-reply. Yeah I see what you mean, but I feel for this sort of issue (where our club is trying to bring everyone closer together) there should be interpersonal reaction between the club and the supporters trying to save the club. I've said this before, and in a few emails to the club, I don't see why we can't use qualified volunteers to respond to emails (then have them checked by an overseer or someone like that) and then sent out.
  15. I hope you didn't get the exact same email I did. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we finally got a response, but I also wouldn't mind a bit of personal interaction on the subject matter.
  16. Ha, never thought I'd see the day where the MFC move to Cranbourne and Collingwood introduces a membership that costs near-to twice as much as an MCC membership...And they call us toffs! Perhaps Carlton's membership cost should be lowered to weed out the crooks
  17. And the BEST case scenario is we recruit a 30-year old who is able to give us a couple of years of decent but declining footy, helping us to possibly win 6-7 matches instead of 4-5 each year before retiring, whilst taking up the spot of a youngster who potentially could have helped our club for a longer period of time. There really isn't any upside IMO
  18. Definitely call. It's the best otion, that way you know you're being heard and you'll definitely get a response.
  19. What makes you think Ben Cousins, turning 31 next year, will be fit after playing 7 games over two seasons then? What makes you think he has two-three years left in him? I don't see how Cousins will help our membership, we just had our worst year since '97, arguably the worst season for any team since Fitzroy, and yet we have record membership. Personally, I believe we are building our club from its roots, from the ground up. I don't think we should invest time in people like Ben Cousins, no matter how well they could play for a year or two, we need to back ourselves to become a power again.
  20. Do you think Adelaide were right in picking up one of the best players not only of that decade, but ever, Wayne Carey?
  21. It certainly is a way to get as much publicity as possible out of the number 1 pick. After draft day, there'll be 80 kids paraded round as the messiahs of our club, why shouldn't we have ours on our own?
  22. Very odd ey Diablo. What odds would you have gotten for the three biguns to go nil all? Far out, i've picked the worst time to start having a flutter with the bets Liverpool and Chelsea, 53 shots to 8, 0-0 across 180 minutes. Crazy
  23. Lots of speculation, not much proof. Benno, don't see where this is going mate
