I agree, although I got harrassed by certain posters for having this opinion, interesting that your post goes unnoticed.

Need more evidence that Melbourne are tanking?
Jarka replied to Straight Sets Simon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can you imagine the uproar that would take place on this forum if that happened -
I don't give a toss if Sandy wins another premiership, the only think I'm concerned with is the MFC breaking their drought. If this is true (which I doubt) then we need to look at the relationship we have with them.

Isn't Masten the short one? Great little player I know, but historically the smaller guys go later.

Bizzell has been our best tall defender all season /sigh CJ cops it yet again, Brown and Ward must be pissing themselves laughing. -
Delist, we need to build for the future, choppy would be good if we were challenging this year or even next but realistically that's not the case. We need to delist a whole group of 28 and over guys and rebuild a team with better leadership and commitment. Great player in his day but that day has gone.

At first I was dead set gainst Sheedy coming to Melbourne, I didn't want that arrogant old fart anywhere near the club. However, the more I think about it the more it makes sense.
-
Neitz should be on that list, he is clearly unfit.

And another quality key foward...

I think his development could have been much better and much quicker but there is no way either one of us can prove who is right, however there are other examples that I've already mentioned that backs my theory.

For all the discussion about his mental immaturarity I just don't see it. Since he got a game he hasn't once shown anything that he was accused of, but the stupid thing is that if all those comments were actually true then it would have taken alot more than a couple of games at Sandy to sort out. Garland has only just taken up the sport, out of everyone on our list he needs game time with Sandy the most, why he was picked earlier in the year is an absolute mystery. These aren't isolated incidents, questions has to be asked about Bode and Neaves as well.

I've never understood how people could think that the 'snow' comment could be offensive. Everytime someone says it to me I respond by saying "So, what you're saying is that I'm so rich that I can afford to go to the snow whenever I want and buy any car I want? Oh my, what a terrible thing to say - I'm rich!" Normally they stop after that.

To DS's defence the club itself is unwilling to extend his contract atm, and that's never a good sign when a coach is in his last year. There have been a couple of rumours floating around that they want someone else to coach them.

That was a great mark

What exactly does this demonstrate, he had a fight with a teammate - so what? That won't be the last time two teammates have a punch on. Are you comparing that to beating up your partner? Edit - you highlighted 'a stabbing and shooting', are you suggesting he had something to do with it, and if not what does that have to do with Cousins? Do you understand what Wikipedia is and who creates these notes?

I really liked him at the Kangaroos

Like alot of fans my dad brainwashed me to follow the demons at a very young age, and like alot of fans I've had my favourite players throughout the years. But sadly for some reason I seem to have a kind of 'kiss of death' on my adopted stars. Check this list out. Gerard Healy Strawbs O'Dwyer Rod Keogh Earl Spalding Darren Cuthbertson Glenn Lovett Paul Prymke Allen Jakovich Stephen Tingay Andy Lovell Martin Pike David Schwartz Jeff Farmer Shane Woewodin Scott Thompson Every single player I adopt as my favourite is either cut down by injuries in their prime, leaves the club, or in the case of Cuthbertson just suddenly loses all ability over night. He did it because he got [censored], then got into an argument and wasn't able to control his temper. Look, he obviously needs help, and he should get everything that can be done, but his footy career is over. Going back to the original debate, from my murky memory Cousins hasn't belted anyone up, including any partners he has or has had in the past. Two completely different cases, Cousins has been given an opportunity to learn from his mistakes, Farmer just hasn't learnt and continues to completely lose it.
-
You still haven't answered my question, I understand why you're trying to deflect it though. Why did Farmer damage the car?
-
You didn't answer my question. All of Farmer's indiscretions have involved violence to other people including his own partner (one of the worst crimes anyone can commit imo). How many times has Cousins beaten up his partner or anyone else in the last three years? The current calls for Farmers dismissal is because of his long history of belting people up, so of course his decision to smash his partners face in comes into consideration. Give him help and try to rehabilitate him? Yes, of course, but FFS stop the damage he's doing to the image of our sport.

AA team: Chris Masten, Rhys Palmer, Daniel Rich, Patrick McGinnity, David Myers, Alex Rance, Cale Morton, Nicholas Naitanui (WA), Brad Ebert (SA), Nick Suban, Scott Selwood, Ben McEvoy (Victoria Country), Matthew Kreuzer, Adam Maric, Michael Hurley, Jack Grimes (Victoria Metro), Craig Bird, Taylor Walker (NSW-ACT), Aaron Joseph, Tom Collier, Aaron Cornelius (Tasmania), Cyril Rioli (Northern Territory) Morton won the Larke medal My guess at a top 5 is: Kruezer Cotchin Morton Ebert McEvoy
-
No, you missed my point. How many times has Cousins beaten up his partner or done physical damage to other people?
-
Is that an excuse/justification to belt up your wife? Completely different to the Cousins situation and Farmer has been given many, many chances. Give him help and a chance to rehabilitate yes, but stop him from damaging the image of the sport immediately. There are other terrible things going on in this country and this excuse is often dragged out to explain why it's happening, I don't believe it for a second.

I like the new rule but you've never legally been able to push a player in the back, it was something that just became accepted because it wasn't policed properly.
