Why would another club want Brad miller?

That's not what he said after winning the Rising star award. He said that he made an effort to model his game on Bizzell's and that he was an integral part of his own development. Sure, play the kids, but they still need to actually learn how to play the game from at least one competent mature player around them, which has been a major problem with the team for years.

the way I'm interpreting this thread is suggesting that our great captain shouldn't be playing when he is so obviously unfit, just because he is approaching 300 games, or do you disagree?

Not saying that he is useless, just in his current condition ie unfit.

Was that the master plan for our guys to lose weight so we can run all day and do the 'run and carry' style? The funniest thing about this was that half the supporters could see what was happening from the very start of the season...

If he's not fit then he shouldn't be playing because he's now doing more harm to the team than good. With him being so useless now the opposition can easily run off him to create play or to help the other defenders, putting more pressure on our other forwards like Newton.

deanox, the only reason why I'd play him is to teach the kids how to play, but of course when the kids don't get picked it's pointless. He is easily the best player we have in our defence. In my ideal world I'd have him and Carroll, with Frawley, Buckley, CJ and Bell, with a view to looking towards the future.

We were never going to win this game, I'm just dissappointed that we're wasting valuable game time for alot of guys that aren't going to be on our list next year.

I don't give a flying [censored] about Sandy, and having our guys play in their premiership teams in the last 4 four hasn't done us any good, so why should this year be any different? If we are picking our team based solely on how it affects Sandringham then we need to have a serious look at whether the current relationship is to our benefit.

Brown, Ward, Holland, Godfrey, Carroll, Ferguson and Pickett. Would any of these guys get a game right now for any other team? I think not. This is the worst Melbourne forward line I have ever seen, Neitz is virtually useless (injuries) and Robo is just as bad (probably injuries as well), so we have to rely on a kid who's played 4 games....ffs, no wonder we're 2nd last. If we're goint to suck then we might as well get some game time into some of our kids, instead of giving games to has beens who sould be delisted at the end of the year.

He needs as much game time as possible, but going by what's been happening he'll get dropped this weekend leaving Ward and Brown in the team.
