  1. I have some pics from this training session. How do I upload them? What are the size limits?
  2. Caroline Wilson is written journalism's equivalent to a Shock Jock, no better than AJ!
  3. Thanks BH and Steamin... makes my day to get the reports and pics of training.
  4. Ok Whispering... we're on the rise! Most of the blokes we have added are strong bodies who are aggressive at the ball... A number of the players who have moved on only possessed one of these attributes... a couple didn't have either! I'm reminded of the Northey era... It will take the best part of a season for all the bits to gel but the bits are there. We need luck with injury, but that goes for all. The list has been improved remarkably in the shortest imaginable time frame. We will have some glorious wins against old foes in 2013!
  5. Good idea Jack and great scouting Jose! How any organisation can sell the "astute and respected" line after reading the cadswallop served up by The Age's chief football writer is beyond me.
  6. Curry & Beer is a lot closer to the mark than many on Brock The Queen. It was embarrassing watching him beaten to the ball by opposition who started 10 metres behind him. He was obviously hindered by injury in his final year, but I believe the club had already lost faith in him, probably encouraged him to look elsewhere. I certainly didn't get the impression that he jumped ship and that we were devestated to lose him!
  7. Excellent Jack... an intelligent and witty piece that is obviously beyond CW!
  8. Here's an interesting article by Martin Flanagan http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/his-heart-beats-true-20091124-j61s.html
  9. Melbourne » Reviews » A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Tank Written by Cow-whine Wilful Monday, 29 October 2012 20:25 As a low-brow farce, Tank contains all the necessary elements: disguised characters, puns, mistaken identity, interwoven sub plots and men in drag. While these classic elements can be like old friends to fans of the genre, they require deft direction and excellent physical and comic timing to remain fresh for an audience. Director Brock The Queen understands how and why the genre works and never allows the show to sink into a leery Benny-Hill style [censored] and bums sketch. Pace is all important and the one liners come thick and fast, zinging around the stage with such rapidity that you barely have time to think about them, which is sometimes a good thing. Fallguy Gardener's score is pleasant and hummable (and deceptively tricky) but the songs tend to slow the action down and it requires hard work from the cast to crank it back into top gear. But they always do. And the bawdy romp continues unabated. This vaudeville style genre requires skilful acting to pull off and the main cast tackle it with varying degrees of success.

  11. Just looking for the part of CS's relationship with Richmond that might be motivating Cow-whine...

  13. I don't think CW's links to Richmond are relevent to the current issue. She obviously thinks she is justified in shooting the MFC down on the basis of information that has come her way. She is so confident that MFC will be found guilty that she is willing to risk litigation on the basis that the crime commited by MFC warrants her attack. So gleeful is her assassination of all things MFC that she has failed to see that she may have tarred the innocent along with the (perceived) guilty. I look forward, with glee, to the day when the innocent defend themselves with the full weight of the law!
