  1. Well, headlessCHOOK... it matters enough for you to post on my thread!
  2. I'm not talking disposals (total) when I refer to Brayshaw... I'm talking about the complete competitive animal with the intuitive moves that Scully can only dream about and Trenners hasn't had the body to deliver.
  3. Oh, forgot to mention the 'Rare Air' reference... bonus point to the first reply that gets it.
  4. I haven't started a thread for some time... but did so quite regularly in the Daniher years. I'm feeling the warm & fuzzies that we have all been enjoying since Sunday's milestone performance, the best 120 minutes of team play that I can remember since 1987! I am now conVINCED that Bernie is the best recruit from another AFL/VFL team that I care to remember. I am also SHAW that Angus is the best first year addition I have seen in Blue & Red... Discuss
  5. From the replay I would say 52 Harmes 58 White 59 Spencer 61 Stretch 62 Terlich 63 Michie 66 McKenzie 69 Bail 71 Tyson 72 Neale Bullen 74 Oscar McDonald 75 Jamar
  6. "A dog ordinary player is Howe" Ummm, no... Powell was an ordinary Dog player, BringBack!
  7. I'm pleased to see my expression for premature ecstasy and limp behaviour have been censored by this magnificent upholder of society's values!
  8. Poor coaching ! We were all over them for 45 minutes then decomposed because of a few umpire [censored] ups Get a grip you soft [censored] excuses for elite footballers
  9. Never gave a F%#$@ as soon as the umpires exposed their corruption !!!
  10. Does McDonald have to give up the obvious incompetent FK when we are already farked?
  11. This is my read to half time. Melbourne owned them well into first half. Umpires then kicked in with debatable frees in Port's favour. Lead dissolved in a flash. MFC then looked like knee jerk losers. Port started to look like AFL/SANFL elites. Didn't think anyone on our team had suddenly looked like a dud. Started to think about what would turn the tide, possession, Howe screamer, Watts inspiration, Spencer grab, Jones burst, Garlett brilliance, Hogan free kick.... could go on but none of it happened. At half time Port would be feeling comfortable. That is to our advantage.
  12. I'm fine with Watts being back. We don't have the luxury of leaving his talent down at Casey given what a few of the 'Ins' from last week produced! I'm hoping Fitzy gets a run. He has quite a bit in common with Stef Martin, and Stef has become one of the best followers going around in 2015 (according to Cam Mooney). I would like to see Stretch given a full game with Riley wearing the green vest and Newton the fourth on the bench. Bail, Toumpas and Gawn to be the emergencies for me.
  13. oops... a bit Freudian in my slip... Stef, I meant Stef!
  14. Simple... Re-sign D Martin! Why we ever let him go... He is our missing link!
  15. I was at the ground last night. I have to put that on the record because quite a few that make comment here weren't at the game and may not have even watched the whole game live or on replay. Toumpas demonstrated to me that he has developed since 2014. He should retain his spot. Jack Watts was effective from the minute he came on. I love what Jack brings to the team. He was down in the previous week but showed good signs last night. If Rhys Rabbit thinks that a bit of huff and puff will put jack off his game then he is as silly as we thought, even as silly as some Demonland posters! Jack is a touch player, sometimes sublime, sometimes ... well, out of touch. I also noticed that he gave a lot of direction around stoppages as soon as he appeared. He is more of a leader than many give him credit for. He should retain his spot next week and hand the green vest to someone else... perhaps Neale Bullen!
  16. We have played 4 of the top 5 teams to date. I was at the ground tonight and we were never in it, but well into the last quarter had 7 goals to their 11... wrist slashing is somewhat premature! Salem is not going to be a half-back for much longer. Billy showed he is a quality player, even at this early stage. McDonald continues to have an All Australian year. Hogan continues to impress. Garlett and Lumumba continue to be very good additions. I thought Newton was a handy contributor... just focusing on recent additions... not all bad news!
  17. I understand the comments about Gawn's limitations... It could be Spencer... I was just thinking horses for courses. I am also a bit of a Pederson fan! I do think there is a possie for another tall against Freo. I'm very happy to see the former skipper in the mix to replace Jetta. replacing Kent is much more difficult, but I suppose Michie could be considered his replacement next week. That would leave us with someone new on the interchange... I'm tipping Tyson will come up
  18. "Gawn....what game were you watching wayne..." I wasn't watching any game Devil. I thought my comments made it perfectly clear that I was listening to Casey Radio. I'm not going to pick our top three players v Doggies, I'm looking at who we play next round (Read "Sandilands")
  19. Grimes will be IN... Toumpas, Riley and Gawn in the mix
  20. So Riley gets 24 touches and had his name called twice...
