  1. Let's hope Dallas can make a series of it, the Euro 2024 is a ripper with expanded group stage and the olympics is an entertaining fortnight with a stacked American dream team and Boomers going for a medal, and some thrilling swimming and track and field finishes. Maybe another Bradbury moment.

At the moment we do not seem to have a "mad mongrel" in the guts . I hope Viney plays on Sh*** d tomorrow so he is continually worried about where Viney is ! Otherwise we ignore "it".

Viney is a ferocious competitor, but too small to concern Maynard. We should swing Big Steven May forward though at some point and have his leading patterns put the worries into that thug.

The worst thing we can do tomorrow is focus on Maynard. He is the type of [censored] that thrives on this and fans will get behind him. Get stuck in sure but the fake tough jumper punching nonsense does nothing

Exactly. Leigh Mathews wants us to lose our cool and be distracted. The Footy Media is generally quite biased to the teams they've played and coached with, however impartial they try and appear

In terms of debuting too early I can't remember that really since Jack Watts.  Tholstrup in the first Q in his debut showed loads of energy, more than most that night, though didn't keep it up.  He was far from worst and IMVHO was stiff to be dropped from a poor team performance, especially as (it is said) Goody doesn't usually drop after one game.

Kolt wouldn't have played if Kozy wasn't suspended. Seemed like a positional, rather than Casey form selection. And Kozy returned, so he was dropped. I really don't think it had anything to do with not being ready. Goody as done the same to Tomlinson. Dropped him even after decent games.

My Demons-mad sister (with Cats-mild spouse, I'm afraid...) lives, longtime, opposite the 'farm' that Jeremy Cameron managed to johnnycomelately by somehow. A better phrase for that neck of the woods would be 'pleasantly-wooded acreage'. Nothing so utilitarian as 'farm', or the hard labour associated with that!

With jokes and rumours about shady land deals edit: outside the cap, anything pique your/there /the neighbours interest in regards to Cameron's land purchase value, discounts, real estate shenanigans compared with the other houses in area?  Gossip away!

Don't disagree, it is harsh to retain Petty and drop Tommo but we have no choice.

Petty has greater upside and we need him to show something because there's a good chance he asks to be traded at the end of the year. ATM he'd be worth a half eaten four 'n twenty and an egg flip Big M

Sabotage our team chemistry and persist with a non-contributor in the hope that they turn it around... for pick 23? Because we're sure as hell not getting pick 5 unless he turns into Ben King or Darcy Moore.

This time last season the majority call was for him to be desisted.

Now he's a saviour ,like Petty!!

Melksham did actually show a solid 10 or so week block of good form last year that gives us some reason for confidence in his ability when fit. Whether his body is up to it or not remains to be seen though.

Saw this thread at the top of the list, clicked on it, and started reading the pile on to HP....

Then I realised I was 10-12 pages behind, and the words like "pathetic" were from games 5-6 weeks ago.... At least he's been consistent

What a [censored] catastrophe not trading him has been.... but it's OK  we got some bloke called McAdam who can kick the ball almost as far as my primary school aged kid

McAdam vs Spargo at training for the longest kick would be a tense thriller of a matchup!

Don't get me wrong.  Yesterday was horrendous with plenty to be concerned about but are we overreacting?  Myself included! In 2017 Richmond lost to Adelaide by 76 points and proceeded to lose their next three.  In round 16 they lost to the Saints by 67 points and were 14 goals to 1 down at halftime! Media were all over them like a rash. Richmond finished 3rd and the rest is history. Might be clutching at straws. No doubt need a response and a win this week. Not going to be easy.

56-114 was the expected score. Turns out yesterday was a very poor performance rather than a diabolical sack the coach season over loss.

  11. Expected score was a 58* point loss rather than around 3 figures, figures!

It was a terrible terrible loss, and big changes are needed if we're to contend, but there are quite a few overreacting on this forum. Season isn't over. the competition is crazy from week to week. Only Sydney and North are consistent. 3rd to 10th with one performance. Let's get back on track. GO Dees.

Underdone or not., I’m concerned by his application and a brief conversation I had with him on a match day whilst he was injured didn’t fill me with confidence. When asked whether he’d be out there soon, he responded “yeah I’ll be out there soon taking some speccies” - that seems to be his MO. We are team first. Not individual highlights. There are some examples of waxing between him and Kozzy too. Kozzy looks to pas to him when he isn’t the best option. City end example from the weekend. Several in the west coast match

Agree with all of this. But if he kicks 5 in a granny: Kick_it_To_McAdam will have to be your new username!

I really rate this guy. Versatile and reliable defender who can also play forward if need be.

Makes you wonder where Tomlinson will play his footy in '25 if we're looking at Battle.

My guess is we'll continue seeing him dominate on Kings Birthday...

‘an MCG final against the Cats in two weeks’.
Self medicating and then posting at 2am is not a good idea.

Everyone's talking like the finals are on in two weeks with all of this 4th or 9th business and it's not even round 12/24!
