  1. Ideally Hogan plays an Adel-Tom Lynch type of roaming HF. He was doing it in the first half of the year, i'm confused as to why he hasn't been doing it in the second half? Foot injury would explain why it seems
  2. Interesting stat about 4 goals in 5 games against top 8 teams. Not averse to exploring the Dylan Shiel idea more. Absolute gun. But he seems like captain material though so I think he'll stay.
  3. What did McLure have to say about it? Actually scratch that, he has nothing relevant to say about anything. ?
  4. Would someone be so kind as to provide me with any evidence or sources that he will play for us next year? The comments seemed to have been started awhile back and are now being parroted as fact like it's a done deal by almost everyone. Including me at times.
  5. Social media is the worst after a striking incident. The mania goes from 4 to 11
  6. Might it be Dom Tyson on the proviso that he grows his hair out and gets a priddy perm? Can't possibly be one of our 'promising mids' unless it's Salem, ANB or Harmes. An inflated salary like that would mean we would need to remove a mid so it doesnt matter if UFA or RFA, trade would be made.
  7. 3. Send Jeffy garlett to a motivational 'make the most of your opportunities while you're young' camp, over summer.
  8. I would've thought goal kicking consistency is his exact strength. 2 goals a game guaranteed per year. He's obviously a lazy player Goody wouldn't go near, as evidences by Garlett sitting in the VFL. He's also never played more than 19 games in a year.
  9. Just an idea, but maybe we could trade Garlett to North or any other club for one of their old age key backs like Scott Thompson, Grundy if they've got one or two years to give etc. Clubs who may need a small forward, we need a defender. Or at least pick up a free agent key defender. Edit: Steven May seems like a really outside shot at coming here tbh
  10. Fascinating. I wonder if it's a comparable situation to Schache for the Dogs second round pick. Or in our case as they don't need picks, for a comparable player like Tyson
  11. Looking at the background, she may have already joined the Bombers. An experimental drug injection program would actually explain a couple of.... things.
  12. He'd be the kind of coach that you'd back to mentor Dom Tyson and turn him into an elite disposer of the ball. It's that or we just play him instead of Tyson
  13. The bottom line is to bring about a game that resembles AFL X but with commercials after every goal
  14. You'll deserve a rivet lager for winning that bet. I'm not in Aus so someone will have to do the honors
  15. After last week, i hope they bring in a starting zone for opposition kick outs, 10/6/2 perhaps?
  16. One idea for a KPD is a cheap stop-gap recruitment for the next 1 or 2 years like Lynden Dunn was. I'm thinking a player like Heath Grundy or even Harry Taylor who have found themselves on the outer in the past two weeks. If Vince retires, Lewis is more injury prone and Lever the re-injury risk im sorry to say will be for a year or two, another senior player could be useful. Though age is your obvious barrier. I'm just not sure there are any experienced 26+ year old defenders out there who are a temporary upgrade on Frost/Omac if we can't afford Steven May.
  17. Which KPD's do you have in mind and what kind of trade/price range are you thinking? Steven May is obviously ideal but could be out of our league and unavailable anyway.
  18. Re Skills, so an improvement on everyone except Oliver, Salem & Fritsch?
  19. if we do have to match (Like Danger did for Adelaide) I wonder if we can throw Perth origin Jeffy Garlett in as a sweetener (with Tyson + picks). He's getting older, but he'll give them 3 or 4 years of high quality small forward craft i'd have thought. Looks disinterested (in body language) as a demon right now.
  20. If the Saints/Nth are going to make a godfather offer, then i think we need to do a bit of creative accounting and make some tough decisions on some players, to free up some cap space to offer something resembling their offer at least for the first few years. The incentive of playing for a better team should be enough for him to take unders, you'd hope.
  21. Nah, it's only 600. And 125 in cash under the table to Goodwin.
  22. Forgive my ignorance, but I thought GCS don't really give a flying fudge about high draft picks and throw them around like trading cards, only caring about academies, points and now trading them for elite players
  23. THE Suns have made an audacious play to lure Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe to the Gold Coast. The draft pick rich Suns have offered two first-round picks and potentially another player to Fremantle to get the deal done either in this year’s trade period or next year when Fyfe becomes a restricted free agent. Gold Coast currently have two picks in the top ten in this year’s draft, plus whatever they receive for out-of-contract midfielder Dion Prestia who wants out of the Suns and is believed to have nominated Richmond as his destination of choice. Gold Coast Suns set to launch audacious bid for Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe
  24. “Nat is clearly a very demanding leader at times and certainly knows what he wants. We love that about him. We really respect that,” Mundy said. It's my personal opinion that Fyfe is the kind of player and person that would want to be the captain of a football club, it's well documented that He and Mundy were competing for it. Have you seen footage of him in the rooms and onfield? He's a very dominant presence. He's 24 now so I think within 3 years would be the timeframe for him. I'm not an insider, i'm just an outsider offering my opinion. No need to be so abrupt with the response Jack. As I said, Viney will be the captain for 7+ years i'd assume so I don't think Fyfe would come to Melb for that reason. Other clubs will offer a leadership and captain role in the near future and that's why I think he will go there. There is more than ONE club offering potential premiership success. I'm not downplaying what we have to offer.
