    Why?

    Does Sam Weiderman love collingwood?

or is it just. a. lovely. romantic. link... as though the boy has always wanted to go home?

and he was a mad tigers fan growing up, so if anyone, he'd be tempted by them..

Coburg oval was supposed to be revamped during 2020 and the Lions were moving to Preston for the duration. Not sure if the revamp took place so you might get to watch Coburg as well.

thats awesome! cheers for the heads up mate

Pretty sure he did his ACL late in 17 and didn't play the granny.

that would explain his apparent lack of visibility on the day.. no possessions and no tackles. poor effort even if he was in the stands on crutches.

  4. treloar seems like a really nice dude.. i haven't really seen any of the reports on his possible mental health issues, but why this has been made public is real yuck (unless its him disclosing it). wish him all the best. be happy to have him at the dees if the price was right. otherwise, maybe the kangas could finally get a decent signing?!

Storm were 2 men down near the end

They had used a lotta petrol.
    Timed to perfection

On Smith, i just think he plays the Captain’s Roll very strongly. He is always watching out for his Teammates

I wish MFC Captains were more like that.
    Carl Ditterich comes to mind

absolutely, i would maybe compare him to jordan lewis or someone like that? game sense.. someone you hate on other teams but are glad that you have on your side.

what an ending! the storm definitely deserved it defending minus those two players.. they did look like they were falling apart though hey? it will be interesting to see how they go should smith retire.. not sure that i rate munster as a leader.

i'm a raiders fan btw, so like to think that next year it might be a raiders v panthers gf.. 30 years after their '91 gf match.

  6. no idea.. not much. brown? maaaaaybe? be nice to sign higgins. hopefully jacko and kossie click and kick some bags. fingers x no injuries. love to see may and trac kill it again. also be great to see the bombers get the wooden spoon and be a mess.

I thought he addressed it weeks later, but i don’t know for sure. I remember Listening to Kevin Bartlett interviewing Cam Smith on SEN about it ( I think there was a Match played for Alex to raise money for him) i don’t recall Cameron Smith being arrogant. But it may well have been different in the Sydney Media

(I have a disability so i pricked up my ears when it was being discussed)

ahh, i never saw anything come out from him.. i live in melbourne btw, but have a solid grounding in league. the culture is very different to afl.

and i work in disability support, so it really bothered me, apart from just being a really ****ty thing for him to have done at the time. but look, like i said, we all make mistakes and this was just really public. i just don't like the way he niggles and wastes time and 'manages the game' with the ref, etc.. but he is smart. definitely has a football brain. i wouldn't argue against that.

geez, the panthers nearly had them at the end.. i have never in my life seen a side turn down a goal attempt either.. such a strange game?!

There are reports that we’re actually trying to get the real Jack Higgins (not the author).

yes i was aware of that jack. funny though, I very nearly wrote nathan broad type, as i was impressed with his toughness and desperation during the GF.. amazed to see he's available atm too? be awesome to get either of them. def upgrade for us. killer instinct x 2.

Yes i always wondered why Smith never said anything about that incident.
I don’t know enough about the game to know whether they had history or not

i am pretty sure they didn't.. of course it wasn't his fault (the incident) but he should have come out and apologised/addressed it. maybe it was because he was a lot younger and bit more stubborn, but he's certainly not perfect and certainly not 'the greatest ever'. but aside from that, he did speak really well after the game last night. not perfect, but who is?

  10. higgins has been one of my faves since he came on to the scene.. happy go lucky, gives his all. SIGN HIM UP. i'll be [censored] if he ends up anywhere else. happy to lose hunt, macs, hannan, preuss, etc and only get brown, smith and higgins.

  11. as a nswelshman, everyone respects the storm organisation. so this whole 'everyone is against us, no one thought we could do it' rubbish is, well, rubbish. very essendon/pies.

the reason everyone has hated the storm was all the maroons in their team. now its full of kiwis and other pacific islanders..and blues, the hatred is less.

cameron smith is a dirty, time-wasting, no-good hack. he has skills, but is very over-rated. see how he dealt with the incident where alex mckinnon lost the use of his legs during a game. not an apology.

I realise that as most of the dees on here will support the storm (if they care at all about 'the rugby') i will get feedback on this, but it is true.

    this is true

but if the ratings were elite, very good, good, average, below average, and poor i think he'd be in the average band

his kicking improved the minute he started powering out of contests rather than handballing, hack-kicking

completely agree.. as others have said, high ball drop and a bit dumpy, but it comes with where he gets the ball.. if he could take a few steps and also work on his technique, that’d be ace

  13. Don't they say the Saints and Dees fanbases are around the South East of Melbourne? Bayside, etc..? I can see a merge potential there, also, what a marriage! Bayside 64/66 FC. Lol. Bulldogs aren''t going anywhere (the 'Western' saves them - a key to a developing region). North are in big trouble for sure. They play for a inner city suburb and have a low fan base. Growing up a League fan, I have seen the pain caused by mergers.. They never work. Even if the clubs win premierships/flags.. They lose their soul. May as well just go down to the VFL/state league to play and keep the identity..

Wow ... there seem to be 2 camps.

One of my colleagues was in Jack's year level at Carey. Her comment was that he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Which is perhaps consistent with the comments that he's difficult to coach.

His attempts to barge through tackles look totally clueless. He invariably gets caught. (A bit like Jonesy before he stopped doing it ... after about 10 seasons !!)

And his refusal to kick on his right foot when that is clearly the best option hurt the side.

Actually there are 3 camps.I'm kinda in the middle. Don't really mind if he stays or goes.

couldn't be too much dimmer than gawn. personally i reckon viney is a pretty nice guy, despite his footy persona. dare i say it, a sensitive new age guy..

Sorry this list  was supposed to be our Forward Line  Brown Weid/Jacko with Mihocek and crumbers Kosi  and Spargo/ Hunt crumbing.

One could argue that Hunty really does not Or very rarely crumbs.

Our top goal kicker not even included in the mix!

Is that Ben or the bomber Brown we have got already ?

Fritta is the glue that knits this lot together Anda potential 40 plus goaler.

soft as angel hair.. i’d trade him for a skilled mid.
