Out: Tomlinson, Jones
In: Sparrow, Weideman
It won't happen (yet), but:
*T-Mac to wing
*Weid to forward line
-
as long as t-mac continues to kick forward and not across the ground to (change lanes) he can stay in the backline. bring in weid!

geez i hope burgess stays until we get a flag.. he's the one key person i've been thinking. of as we've run over teams in the past few weeks. fitness. massive. if he goes, i hope we can stick with it now!

Goody's comments indicated much the same in the post game press conference. I've noticed our senior players don't whinge to the umpires like those of other clubs, e.g. Geelong, we just crack in harder on the next play to get the ball back. As a supporter this is the sort of behaviour I want to see. Things started to get a bit silly in the fourth, fines will be handed out on both sides for the melee, and Kozi will learn to be more humble in the future.
except for mcdonald & oliver.. but yes, generally, we don't sook we play on.

god damn this game is horrible to watch.. ugly, ugly.. a whole lotta nothing! still hope the pies get up over the yuck bombers

i wonder if he will eventually transition into the midfield, ala sam mitchell, or is a small forward now? maybe too small to be a mid? loved him last night. love how he stuck up for his teammates at times too. legend.

More and more players - particularly those with families - are moving down the peninsula as a vague “tree change” from inner suburban living
I don’t think Casey as a home base for the MFC is as unattractive as it used to be
who? ex dee great cam pedersen? i am unaware of any current player that lives on the peninsula and travels into the city for training/games?

The thing about Gawn's kicking is that the result is consistent. Therefore, he doesn't need to change his technique. All he has to do is aim further to the right each time.
just snap all shots. simple.

Before today I didn't know Australia had a Torrens University. Now I do. That sponsorship deal is already working!
yep. never heard of them. now i have. a win for them? probably not. i did google them to see if they were in south australia. they aren't. yawn.

as amazing as those two tackles were.. i am surprised not more AFL players smash and drive players like this. i grew up watching league and it just seems like the mindset is a lot different. with the threat of actually being hurt/sore from a tackle, teams would be much less confident leaving their D50 with players like Pickett around. but there should be MORE OF IT!!!

someone said casey were playing home games at preston oval this season.. any truth to that rumour?
-
haven't seen any footage of him but he comes across in the interview well. mature and ready to put in. love that he's into the idea of locking someone down as a defender too.

Answering questions in the media is part of every single club's ritual. In fact, it's more than a ritual, it's an obligation.
its how you answer them though cheese.. and we have a habit of bull****ting. just be honest. 'yeah, we kinda sucked last year.. hope we are better this year, but probably won't be..'. THAT i could get around!

for anyone that actually thinks we won't have a round one pick next year... i don't know what to tell ya, but i am pretty sure we will have AT LEAST one.. once we get rid of t-mac, potentially brayshaw and a few others, we will be right to go again with youngsters/a rd 1 pick for trade.

Kangas are a good fit for tmcd. They need a tall forward to go alongside Larkey. Surely it’s win win.

I’d rather bank the $$ and chase more class, like Merrett next year.
Treloar is a good player, but his delivery is his biggest weakness, and we don’t need more of that atm, especially on big $$.
i’d happily rather a good bloke like treloar with speed and skill that’s perhaps 5% less a player (delivery-wise) than merrett..talk about a punchable head! i am actually not sure there’s too much different between the two - one has blonde hair and one brown

Uhm because they’ve had a lot more success than Melb in our lifetimes? Good on them for sticking by the club.

sooo, is yze the assistant? all all line coaches are assistants? still a bit concerned over a lack of support for goodwin. would've been nice to have got an actual ex forward to train the forwards?..

as someone that had brayshaw as his fave player, i would be open to moving on angus for treloar, should angus be open to it. players like angus are a dime a dozen. treloar has speed and kicks goals. they've appeared rare the past few years..
