Bolton would certainly be a positive get considering his experience and cv at Hawthorn.
But teaching a team to 'play' like another team always ends in tears. Just ask Richmond from a few years ago.
We don't have the cattle to execute the 'hawthorn' style. Clubs recruit for a specific game plan. We've got a core group who play a certain way and we need to tweak the list and game style around that core.
just ask us. neeld *cough*

Have watched Ash a couple of times with the bushies as i am back doing some work for their under 16 developments squad.
He is a beauty, plays across half back and puts his speed to good use. Ability to set up from half back but also rebound and intercept are quiet elite. Next stage for his development is transitioning towards more midfield exposure.
Very driven individual who shows fantastic leadership (named co-captainfor Vic Country) and maturity beyond his years.
wonder what the likelihood of us drafting him would be..should we end up with a pick between 3-6/7?..
he could replace salem and christian could move up the ground to supply the forwards?

Dont need a rebuild... just a game plan that works.
+ players with foot skills

not sure where a ready made forward that’s gettable will come from.. not many about atm. and where would that leave t-mac & weid? still rather a skilful top tier mid.

is it just me or does his voice sound a bit shaky/nervous at times?

Is Oscar's? Bloke looks like the same now as what he did in his first year.
not a fan of oscar in any way, but that's a ridiculous comment

KK, May and Lockhart in. Wagner, Spargs and Hore out.
Frosty stays. Not too sure about this, especially if it's wet.
agree.. i'd only keep one of frost or o-mac in the side.. shame about the boys dropped, but they'll be back

the only reason the dons arent down by 60 before half time is that the giants aren't kicking straight.. all over them.

potential captain/vice captain material. speaks so well. and is a star these days.

i can't recall, do we have our first round draft pick for 2019 still? pretty sure we do, as i think we have to use it right?

i like kennerly's highlights.. looks a likely lad. hard at it and good footskills. mature body too. also need some more speed/spark to add to the squad. surely hill won't be available. if the eagles pass on him, i can see the crows or swans taking him for sure. otherwise, stack looks electric! swans must have someone in particular in mind though, if they have traded up to their new position?.. intriguing. i'd be a bit disappointed with valente. too vanilla for mine.

We're not trying to win a negotiation, we're trying to improve our list.
its also to remembered that footy is a business. and hogan is a blue chip in our organisation. as boring and lame as it sounds, he has worth and if we just bend over and give him away for nothing, even if we get in an ok backman and a who knows what second rounder, that is a loss. we need may and a really solid pick that is pretty much guaranteed to play all year and be a star. not some kid that we get at pick 27 or whatever, who might quit footy in a year after struggling with the speed of the game at casey..
it is a negotiation.- 3

Would pick 8 get May? Pick 8 and a future 2nd round?
I would love to give pick 5 and 23 to Adelaide for 8 and 13?
much rather 5 & 23.. draft drops away after 7.. we don't need any more inside mids or players from wa and that's what the rest seem to be. i'd much rather get a gem at 5 and let jason taylor work his magic at 23.. plus, it means that we will stop the crows from getting who they want.. win-win ?
-
again. we need 5 and next year's first from freo. or, 5 and brayshaw/cerra. cough up dockheads or F off!

Sun is reporting that Peter Bell is flying into Melbourne tomorrow to resume talks on a deal that will potentially include pick 5 and other picks, thus allowing us to secure May and KK. So, nothing new really, other than what we all knew - Bell was bluffing.
lol. hope he's aware jesse is currently in perth. haha. nooooo ideaaaaa

Duursma won't go that high. In the 10-20 range methinks.
who else is around that mark that has pace? not many options.. i think we may take him should we go the draft that high. we sure as hell won't get the sa boys, or concern ourselves with the kings.

i should’ve been more specific.. i wonder if we’ll go best available or for need.. cos i’m not sure a halfback is need atm. but if he and young can play mid too ?
