  1. I do rate Brett lovett's Mullet higher than Jacko's. but Febey's Under cut is even better
  2. Details of the day Jimmy had 35 touches, Viney 32 Plugger kicked 5 from 7 touches
  3. Hey, I found this on You tube. It may have been posted before but well worth another view. I couldnt find it on a quick search (please combine with any old thread) Just a few things hit me when I watched this. G Lyon drove this team. After nearly every goal Gaz ran up to the kicker and told him all about it and gave them a rev up. Jacka.........Jesus he was good, only if Watts can light it up like this when he makes his mark. But the main thing I wanna see back in the Red and blue is the passion in this clips!! Enjoy Go Dees
  4. Worth a watch I am kinda Diggin CC. Damn straight Shooter. Go Dees
  5. Photo here and he is a GINGER!!!! Maybe on Bailey's Radar, you know he loves a Fanta pants!!! Cheeny, Bate, Blease and Cribbin could be the ranga invasion!!!
  6. Some web search have found these quotes "Cribbin oozed all the skills and football attributes of a complete footballer – high-fielding, terrific balls skills and first class scoring ability as he banged home 1-2 for his team" However here talks about Collin#$%d Come on Jimmy use your shamrock conections and get us an irish gem
  7. I lived in Tassie for 5 years. Every team in Tassie is a Devil or a Tiger it is bloody boring and predicable. However If any team was formed in Tassie It should be called the "TATERS" We used to go to Nth Hobart oval and watch the Devils play when they were good under Ex Dee Beams. We called them the taters. We named all the players, Wedges, Gnocchi, The Masher, Spud, Kennebec, Pink eye, Chips, Frenchy, Jason Heatley was still called the Heater though. We called Nth Hobart over The Deep Fryer. It was great. The next year another group of drunks were also calling them the Taters and even had there own T Shirts made up. So if any Team came from Tassie they should call them after what it is really famous for......the good old spud. GOOOOO TATERS!!!!
  8. Not sure if this has been posted. Player agent talking about Gold coast. He directly mentions Brad Miller but says they will be targeting youth (aka Ricky P) The hun video I like the "next big thing in footy" Jack Watts to give everyone some hope And says number 1 pick in this years draft (categorically) .......................................... Tom Scully Does anyone know who Paul Connors has with us?

  11. Does anyone know anything about Shane Tregear? He is on our list to train and won the coaches award for Sandy last year. Sounds like he can snag a sausage roll or two from Bazza Beach road Sandy reports. Anyone know about his size? speed? skill? could he be worth putting on a rookie list or possible PSD pick up? RnR
  12. Cheers guys, Sounds like the kinda character we need now to palm down a few taps to Brock, Cale, Grimes and Jones. He is still in Hobart and supposably still quite a character. RNR
  13. Hey, A mate of mine just started doing some work with Garry Baker and asked me if I rememebed him as I am a Demon tradgic supporter. Anyway I can only just remember him as I was born in '76. Does anyone else remember him? If so, could you tell me about him? any memoriable highlights? This is a pretty cool beard http://i11.ebayimg.com/07/i/001/18/08/64c5_1.JPG Cheers RNR
  14. I live in NZ, It would be awesome for the Dees to play here, I could go see a game and be the only bloody person there. This is a very silly half baked idea. No one in this country cares about or really gives a stuff about AFL. It is not in any papers, not on telly. They play one game a week on the third Sky sort channel which 80% of the pubs and punters don’t have anyway. The only Grand final action you saw in the media was on a half hour nightly show "The crowd goes wild" Who took the [censored] out of it as look at what those stupid aussie are into. The only other time I saw any AFL in this country this year is when Big bad b...b...b.. Hall threw his haymaker. I have also lived in tassie and outside Melbourne they are the most well informed and knowledgable (and passionate) footy fans. That’s why it works there. NZ is a lost cause "Bro" it isn’t "sweet as" or "choice" to play here. This is a path to financial ruin and being the laughing stock of not only NZ but the AFL.
  15. Thats all I really wanted to say, Im going back to lurking this forum and many others, thanks for the interest in this post. Sorry Dappa Dan, I will keep my family connections low key.
  16. Long time lurker, I finally had to say something. I flew across the ditch from NZ for family business and convince my father to take me the game on Sunday. My grandfather played for this great club, my grand mother was in the stands every weekend, I buy 3 memberships each year for my mother father and myself and my whole family hearts beats red and blue. Pre game I was kinda embarrassed for the club, not many people there, kinda lame rousing of emotions with the trumpeter and spruiker and felt like we were at a very low ebb. By half time I though all the articles and forums were right and this club was dying. I leant across to my old man who was struggling and said "If this doesn’t get better soon I am taking you home." The last half of footy is something I will take with me for the rest of my life. I screamed my throat horse, my father grew with pride, and I think I saw something that was lacking for at least 2 years. Some bloody heart and soul. Some pride in the history and the jumper. And some bloody support from the crowd. I really don’t care if it was the game plan that stuck, or some players stepping up (Miller, Jarmar etc). What I care about there was 18,000 Demons fans there making the noise of 50,000. There was a chilling atmosphere and was proud to fly the scarf out the window all the way home. There are tough times ahead but what I wanted to say is support this club. You can see what a difference it made on the weekend. Get behind the players, stop your finger pointing, pay your membership and get on board. GO DEES
  17. If you want a good omen, I had a dream a week ago, MFC approached me to talk to Chris, show him around the MCG and convince him to play for the Dees. I told him about how he can make a mark on this club and am the best modern day football this club has seen, and then we reminisced about the good old days following Gary Lyon, Swartz, Grinter, Danny Hughes, Strawbs, Wilson, Lovell, etc. He looked me in the eye and said "I WILL PLAY FOR THE DEES" Bring on JUDD
  18. I hope they get Tim Watson
  19. 3 or 4 times this year D Bell has laid a tackle in the goal square to stop a certian goal. Thats the highlight of the year for me
  20. Where is Danny hughes? Is he injured?
  21. Who did we get for grdic trade? BIz? thats gold I am going to use that!
  22. Hey all, Long time viewer, First time poster. Long time Demon fan. Anyway the reason why I am writing is that I am having great pleasure winding an obsessed Cats fan up about the [censored] and Bomber T and I am looking for some more ideas or angles to get under his skin. I am also trying to compare Neale v Bomber in the coaching stakes. Both been under Sheedy's wing, both been at clubs for a long time but with no ultimate success, both have roughly the same win loss record. So how do these two stack up? rocknroll
