  1. Well I actually haven't fully accepted that yet. I've thought of it and last year he tested my patience but also knew he had an interrupted pre season. Reason why is because I still have hope that he can still recapture some of that 2018 form from the back half of the year. Against Geelong in the final he was monstering the likes Harry Taylor and Mark Blicavs in marking contests. That form alone would easily be in our best 22 right now. And to be honest both McDonald and Ben Brown are 30 this year. They haven't got much time left and realistically we need Weid to start to at least show he's ready to take over from either. But unfortunately he hasn't shown anything remotely close which now leaves us with limited depth in our tall forward stocks. I rate JVR enormously high, but he's yet to taste AFL action.
  2. 7 years in the system for 56 games drafted in the same year as Charlie Curnow, Eric Hipwood and Harry McKay. The fact he's still battling it out at VFL and can't seem to overtake Tom McDonald (realistically that has to be the ideal scenario for us) is imo a concern for his own career. So far this year he hasn't fully grabbed his opportunity ( already been dropped) and now with Jacob Van Rooyen breathing down his neck I would think he needs to grab his opportunity this weekend because Tom McDonald is clearly ahead of him at this stage with his current form. His consistency this year hasn't been up to the standard I had hoped this year.
  3. That's a huge loss considering how good of a form he is. If Weideman doesn't perform then makes you wonder if it'll ever click for him at AFL level. That's now Langdon, Salem, Harmes, McDonald and Hibberd missing from our premiership side. This will be a mighty win if we get up.
  4. What's wrong with McDonald?
  5. Is Sydney really considered a premiership contending team?
  6. I hope he does leave so I can pay him out even more for being an absolute hypocrite.
  7. Surely not....... Only connection I can put is the Simon Goodwin relationship having been joint partners of the Alma Hotel in Adelaide....
  8. Andrew Gaze gets it because he's played at the higher level and knows what it takes. Andrew Maher on the other hand is an absolute dead set plonker.
  9. I'm on a Melksham ban otherwise I'll upset the same usual sooks on here.
  10. Stoked for Bedford getting a full game. Make no mistake, this will be our hardest game of the year due to a number of premiership players we're missing. Salem, Langdon, Harmes and Hibberd to a degree are huge outs for us.
  11. Yes. Then you have muppets like Tom Rockcliff(good ex teammate of mine and a pretty simple dude) who think otherwise.
  12. You're not on your own. They're massive watch for me. I still think we're better team and can get them when they fade during quarters. Their midfield can certainly match up to ours. I thought Cripps was going to be cooked this year but he's gone to another new level. The likes of Kennedy, Cerra (still dirty we didn't gave the have trade capital last year) Walsh and Hewett has the potential to be quiet potential for the next few years. I like their forward line. Both Curnow and McKay are stars. Both are still only 25 and have many years left which is scary. Our current forward line of Brown and McDonald are both nearly 30 years of age and coming towards the end of their careers so it's a little concerning we have no up and coming talls coming through except Jacob Van Rooyen who is yet to be tested at AFL level. Their defence is shaky and if they can add another gun defender alongside Weitering then they'll be set. He's the next best defender behind Steven May. Carlton is the only club I fear come September. Their significant bigger fan base is like a 23rd man. They'll certainly come in numbers..
  13. Riley Beveridge has predicted Jack Viney to replace Jake Melksham and Bedford to be on stand by in case Langdon is a late out. No mention of Dunstan.
  14. He'd be at Casey.
  15. Pretty sure we tried to get him over at the end of 2018 but he declined. No thanks.
  16. [censored] em. No sympathy from me. Same North Melbourne that had Brent Harvey running around for them giving cheap shots, same North Melbourne that even their own supporters laughed at us during the dark times and same North Melbourne that beat us back in 1998 in the preliminary final (still dirty about that final system).
  17. Don't think that has remotely anything to do with wrestling.
  18. They went extremely quiet after that game..
  19. I must be way behind.. I'm still at the part where St Kilda were going to finally end our streak and stamp themselves as the new premiership contender?
  20. Ironic thing is Darcy Parish had 43 disposals on Saturday night against Richmond. Yet didn't even poll a coaches vote. Stark contrast..
  21. He was an All Australian under 16 team member playing majority as an on baller. What a lot don't realise is that he was a dominant junior player as playing as an on baller was his natural position.
  22. That's great to hear. I wonder if how he feels now supporting the Saints over the Dees?
