  1. McDonald has been hit and miss this year. I'd have Salem and that's about it. I legit trust no one in our footy club. The more points then goals since Brisbane game speak for itself.
  2. They looked at his stats. 32 disposals looks good anywhere regardless how effective they are.
  3. It's all about the individual. They get sucked into the media hype and coaches votes from say the Port Adelaide game, and so then it's all about who can be the hero to get the Monday special mention. Look at the way Oliver carried on like a pork chop when Spargo takes that mark. You would never seen Selwood or Hodge carry on like he did. It looked like a teammate pulled him up on it and so they should. Even at half time when the camera panned to Oliver and Petracca and they are seen laughing and giggling inside the change rooms. I knew straight away then that this game was going to be close as initially thought. It's all mental. These blokes pick and choose when they want to show up and player footy on the back of 0 success.
  4. I love watching Sydney. Such a hard discipline team and well structured line up. Watch the way Parker, Kennedy and Heeney operate around the ground. No Hollywood fans over the tap [censored]. They just get the job down and keep it simple. Oliver, Petracca and Viney are exact the opposite to these guys They are every chance to win it this year and I hope they do.
  5. Is Harmes only meant to miss the 1 week?
  6. Petracca and Oliver. It's all about who can be the hero on the day and get their names mentioned on AFL360 or On The Couch. Against bottom side they go away from team first, and go into individual mode.
  7. Silly comment. Watched the replay, Petty didn't 'flumped' on the ball. The Hawks player jumped on Petty then dragged it into Petty and held it in there. The dumbass umpire got sucked in by it. Petty was just about BOG and took several crucial marks while Lever and May were both ordinary.
  8. Petty and Spargo were BOG for me. The rest was daylight.
  9. Not sure if his teammates would agree with this.
  10. I agree. We've pretty much had the same side all year with a few tinkering here and there. I think it's time for Rivers and Jackson to have a spell. Jackson is giving us nothing up forward and even around the ground he's been limited. I'd like to see Jake Bowey get rewarded for his consistent form down back. Coming in at the expense of Rivers. Do we look at Weideman/Daw for Jackson or do we go the smaller option in Melksham?
  11. Just on the Vanders discussion. He actually started off well. Unfortunately he saw the likes of Oliver, Petracca and Viney trying to break tackles and not give first option and so next thing Vanders is trying to run around blokes and get through tackles when there were clear options ahead of him to give first use. This is what happens when your so called leaders decide to click into Hollywood mode. It filters down to the rest of the team because they see there leaders do it, and think it's acceptable.
  12. There's a difference to having a say and adding to a discussion, and then there's trolling. Even when you have them on ignore it comes up with others quoting. Though, I'm not surprised one bit that you struggle to understand this.
  13. Genuine question here mods @Grapeviney @Demonland How much leeway do 'certain' trolls get on here before they get given the flick?
  14. You do realise Mitch Brown has kicked 5.9 this year in the VFL right.
  15. Our leaders were poor tonight. The Oliver reaction when Spargo marked in front of him was one of the most poorest thing I've seen from a Melbourne player in a long time. Oh, while I'm on Oliver, good to see him was still dishing up those pathetic dinky handballs over the head crap. [censored] peanut
  16. He genuinely just gets so nervous trying to pick up the ball. Almost like an anxiety thing. Stark contrast to Charlie Spargo who is one of our most cleanest player going around.
  17. Yeah ANB has been poor hasn't he. I'm sure he's doing good defensive stuff that coaches love, but he genuinely just hesitates a d fumbles more then I've ever seen in a player. I'd drop him in a heart beat but have no idea who'd I'd bring in for him.
  18. We just signed him up to 5 years. Club wouldn't have the balls to trade him.
  19. Argh.. Matthew Lloyd was rejected by St Kilda when Max King reached out to him for help around his goal kicking. Surely the club reaches out to Lloydy and ask the question? Can't be missing simple shots come finals.
  20. My god Viney is an absolute mess of a footballer. People saying that he'll get dropped are kidding themselves. Goody absolutely loves him and he's just picked up 32 of the most useless stats ever. So they'll look at that as a win. To think the club signed him up for 5 years.. Luke Jackson needs a serious spell. Love the kid but he's done nothing for about a month and while he's ruck work is good he's a wasted space up forward. I'd bring Weideman/Daw or if we need to go bit smaller then bring in Melksham.
  21. Haven't kicked more goals then points since the Brisbane game. That was 7 weeks ago. Had Brayshaw kicked that goal in the last we win. Simple huh? How are 24/7 fully professional AFL players missing simple goals every single week? Whoever is attempting to teach our blokes to kick goals is doing a horrible job and it's cost us games this year.
  22. 60 tackles to 81 there way. They wanted it more, whereas we thought it was going to happen.
  23. What a genuine putrid performance. There was 0 positives out of tonight's game. Club drank its bath water during the week thinking this was going to be a walk in the park. Petracca said last week we had our hunger and drive back. I then see at half time that him and Oliver are having a giggle and laugh at half time. Knew straight away that their minds were elsewhere. Our mental fragility still lurks in the background. We don't deserve to be sitting on top.
  24. This is genuinely pathetic
