  1. Let's try and add a different flavour to this. Fre supporters have to suffer enough having Luke Jackson and giving up a top pick. Now they have to suffer the fact we have JVR... Went and checked out bigfooty at Freo. It's not @Lucifers Heroquality but close enough. Enjoy! • Awesome mark and goal by JVR. • Anyone know if we are in Van Rooyens ear? • Van Rooyen on fire here • JVR is a gun. Wish we had drafted him. • JVR + Amiss. Imagine if we had the guts to do it. We had the picks. Could have set us up for 15 years. • JVR, Amiss and Johnson woulda been quite the haul • Set up the contest for the goal. Mark and goal. Free kick and behind. Mark then goal. JVR doing it all • It's hard not to think that Amiss and JVR could have been our version of a Buddy and Roughead haul to set us up for a decade. • Probably hoping he would've slid to 21... should've just had the balls to take him at pick 10 instead of Erasmus. I rated JVR much higher then where he actually went. • Could of done a Hawks and gone JVR and Amiss pick 8 & 10. Jobs done. And no go home factor • Think we are hoping Treacy can do a JVR. • Doubt it. JVR spent his whole first year in the VFL and kicked 37 from 19 games. Treacy's best return is 19 from 14. • JVR again, * me what a player • He just looks so much like a FF. The toughness, the swagger. He did in his draft year too 🙁 • How did JVR slide to pick 19? I mean seriously. • Sigh. What could have been, what could have been... • JVR will be attracting quality defenders from now on. • We’re gonna regret not picking JVR up Freo supporter, right under our noses this ******* club. • Thing is I don't think JVR would've been a reach at pick 10. All the recruiters must've been on drugs or some s**t for him to slide to 19. • JVR has some aggro and swagger about him. Powerful unit and physically imposing. Plays a bit like Treacy but with more talent and athleticism. Would have been a perfect combo with Amiss. He was ranked right up there to start the year, then had glandular fever (?) and slid down. We were handed two WA spearheads on a platter and still wouldn't take both. Mids can always be found in later years. • Until & if Erasmus starts to boss AFL it’s going to look like a hell of a blunder not to take Amiss & JVR. Couldn’t have known Johnson would still be there at 20 but even so, as others have mentioned mids are easier to find & quicker to develop and we could have had our key forwards sorted for 10 years. Sigh . . . lastly, my favourite one. • All good we’ll give Melbourne 2 first rounders and a second for him in 2 years time.
  2. Yeah maybe I'm a little harsh there.
  3. Take the win for sure, still so much work to do. Seriously need to work out what our best forward mix and build it around JVR. Just on JVR, there was some Seriously embarrassing comments from supporters in the game day thread. Same ones are now praising him? C'mon.. Brodie Grundy was nearly the clincher for me. I thought he really changed the momentum for us. I know this comment won't be well received, but I think I prefer Grundy rucking more then I do with Gawn. Grundy just places its beautiful to our mids where as Gawn can be really hit and miss. And that's no disrespect to Gawn because I think he's more potent up forward. Was certainly good to have big skip back. Glad Viney was awarded BOG Bad: Hibberd, Oliver and May were absolutely howlers tonight. 3 senior heads who continued to cough up the ball in crucial times of the game. May's form is a worry and Oliver has gone back to just throwing the ball on the boot with zero awareness. Take the 4 points, recover well and move on to next Saturday.
  4. Grundy has lifted big time for us. Giving us much better use then what Gawn was.
  5. Honest what the [censored] was that Brayshaw..
  6. Another game where we're getting beaten in contested possessions so far.
  7. Sad to say but I think May is on his last legs. Has not one bit looked all there this year so far. Showing zero respect to Riewoldt tonight.
  8. Oliver is worse tonight. Literally just handing the footy over to Richmond with his continuing bombing of the ball.
  9. Remarkable that we haven't even thrown Rivers or Pickett in the centre bounce to try and change things up.
  10. Still confident we get up. But senior players in Petracca, Lever, Oliver, Gawn all need to seriously pull their finger out. Only 13 points down. First goal is crucial this quarter.
  11. Tmac is cooked. Should never pull on the jumper again unless we get decimated eith injuries. Did you not see him spud it up in the VFL yesterday?
  12. How can you expect him to show anything when his forward partner in crime is a CHB. Another game where selection was woeful. Should have brought in the natural forward target in Schache as the extra tall target. JVR is playing on Richmond's best Defender. This is on Goody.
  13. If people thought Steven May is having a bad game then Clayton is playing just as worse this week.
  14. This is why Oliver will never win a brownlow. Chalks up stats but is an absolute ball butcher who doesn't hurt you.
  15. Good God Sparrow...
  16. We're in trouble. Coaching and selecting integrity woeful. Petty spudding it up at CHF while we leave out an in form forward in Schache out. Hibberd is finished as a footballer. Incredibly slow to react at ground level.
  17. Confident we respond this quarter. We have far too many good players to not respond. C'mon Dees.
  18. Defence is puss, midfield lazy and full or Hollywood heroes tonight.
  19. Cumberland teaching Hibberd a lesson.
  20. Hamish ad Luke Darcy as commentators for the game.
  21. These stats are interesting, was checking the VFL app and noticed its all changed?
  22. Morale of the story is this isn't a walk in the park as some think. Some still haven't learnt their lesson for thinking the same against Essendon I see..
