  1. When you say Collingwood perspective, are you talking about a general Collingwood nuffy supporter or an actual Collingwood recruiter/coach?
  2. Yep. Combination of key players like Lever, Petty, Salem and Rivers all banged up with injuries, and teams now able to piece through defensive system through doing their homework.
  3. No, our pressure as an overall has been below the bottom 3 all year, not just the past 3 weeks. Those 3 games we lost simply because when the pressure was ramped up we simply could not stop the momentum. Last year we were able to combat this in games and stem the tide towards our own game. As I have already mentioned, our back half of the year and finals wins last year was built on the back of our fanatic pressure and forward half turnovers. The past few games this has been non existent and that's the big concern in itself going into the finals that we haven't been able to rectify this. Our game plan is far too predictable starting from the kick out (teams have worked this out already by setting up numbers on the left side of thr ground) to us bombing it into the pocket going forward. We've had positional changes, but we haven't changed our method at all in proving to opposition teams that we have a plan B in place once teams get a run on.
  4. We are no where near tracking similar to last year. This is complete head in sand stuff from you. Our pressure rating is currently 17th compared to when we were sitting 2nd this time last year. This is still a significant concern in itself especially coming up against the likes of Sydney and Geelong in a high pressure environment. Our ball movement is once again in the bottom end of the scale after it was in the top bracket from rounds 1-10 this year and last year. This time last year we were coming into the last round having banked 3 wins in a row and our game plan and method was a lot more stable and well structured. All the kinks we had experienced middle part of last year had been ironed out by round 23. This year we're going into the last round with a record 2-2 from this month alone with still big concerns forward connection and stopping teams get a run on. We got beaten around the midfield contests by a team that was missing 3 of the beat starting mids when we should have absolutely smashed them in this area especially having two elite ruckman in tandem. I expect a win against Brisbane. But you're kidding yourself if you think our method and game structure is similar to this time last year.
  5. Playing for Casey Demons.
  6. I think Hawthorn exposed us with this and it's given other clubs a blueprint.
  7. Good insight mate. Which radio station was the interview?
  8. He seems pretty invested imo. I genuinely think he hasn't made up his mind and is leaving all the contract talks until the season is finished. I'd be disappointed if he left, but would understand wholeheartedly as well. We'll get compensated well, but it's still a big loss. Thought he was good on the weekend. Took some good clunks and was unlucky not to hit the scoreboard.
  9. He didn't get much of the ball, but he still laid 8 tackles which is a huge mindset change in my opinion. I have always been a fan of Fritta playing as a high half forward. Just think we don't utilise his precision kicking enough going inside 50.
  10. Agree.. There's extra numbers at the drop of the ball front and centre. If they get a rebound kick inside 50 the full forward has so much space in front of him. This just adds further stress to our defenders in being super reactive for dump kick forward. I find it extremely hard to believe that we have gone 22 rounds with this same set up to then completely transform into a whole new set up. I understand your point in thinking, but are we leaving this way too late in the season now? Yeah I just can't see us even tinkering it all of a sudden for finals. I was watching games closely to see if there was a small change in method or a new tactic, but unfortunately I've seen now evidence to suggest otherwise. I watched Sydney yesterday and their defensive discipline is very impressive. Scared to think we'll just play it straight into their hands if we meet them first week of finals.
  11. Yep. Our kick outs is now way too predictable when Steven May kicks out to the point where you'll notice now opposition teams are already set up in numbers on the left side of the ground because that's out go too point. I thought by now we would have rectified this..
  12. Kynan Brown representing Vic Metro in the under 17's Futures game.
  13. Good pick up! 🤭
  14. Really? I'd have the Brisbane and Freo games as two that stand out for me personally..
  15. Agree, but apparently we're not allowed to mention that..
  16. Yes, i still want him in against Brisbane as well.
  17. Did you even watch the game? I've already explained this further in depth. Go back a page or two and you'll mind my response. Some serious red and blue blinkers on here with some you lot..
  18. Weideman was BOG for Casey playing as a high CHF. Problem is, when he comes into the team they pigeon hole him as a deep forward. I still think we are 1 key forward short and having Weideman play that high role up the field means Brown can stay deep more often then not.
  19. True
  20. Weideman and Mitch White were BOG for me.
  21. Weideman has had a big 2nd half. For a big bloke in these conditions hes been quite clean below knees. I like him better when he's playing higher up the ground.
  22. His inside grunt work has been good. It suits players of his ilk. Watching him closely hoping he can come in next week. The issue though is attempted don't argues and all times and trying to take the tackler on when there have been options around him to give off. In these conditions it's simple basic footy that's been taught from auskick, just get the footy on the boot and get it forward.
