  1. 6 - Oliver ( possibly his best game for the club ) 5 - Gawn ( dominated the centre ) 4 - Harmes ( continued his impressive tagging role ) 3 - Petracca ( used the ball beautifully and often ) 2 - Brayshaw ( some important possessions and impressive gut running) 1 - T. McDonald ( was always a presence )
  2. Jones - better on ball T.McDonald - had a presence Melksham - a limited impact Fritsch - versatile and smart Lewis - steady all game Garlett - just some cameos Kennedy-Harris - justified his place Neal-Bullen - run and pressure Hogan - very little involvement Harmes - wonderful tagging game Petracca - continued improved involvement Tyson - had a go Brayshaw - becoming a gun Frost - confident and important Gawn - set the tone Jetta - was rarely sighted O.McDonald - fortunately rarely required Oliver - a class above Salem - important but iffy Smith - some important touches Spargo - tried but overwhelmed Vince - just a game
  3. Seriously, if all the talk pre season and during season about ‘hurting’ after last year’s debacles and last week’s heartbreaking loss, doesn’t amount to a life or death performance tonight, nothing EVER will
  4. Stupid idea to move Hogan to defense this late into the season.. he wouldn’t have a clue about manning up nor being accountable.
  5. It’s the leggy blonde bit that’s surprising
  6. 3AW Rumour File No names mentioned but a report this morning that a certain midfielder who left training early with a quad strain was sighted not long later at the new Mission Impossible movie with a leggy blonde?
  7. Fwiw , a few years ago I left the Cattery early after another obvious loss was looming and I provided some sort of retribution for myself by adhering some Demon stickers to cars that were obviously owned by opposition supporters.
  8. Why don’t YOU give us all the benefit of your totally cool, calm and rational 3 word analysis?
  9. Jones - becoming a liability Jetta - little to commend O.McDonald - was comprehensively destroyed Smith - has limited skills Lewis - slow but important Vince - a momentum killer Frost - some impressive touches Fritsch - needed more urgency Gawn - had limited impact Oliver - prolific but tired Brayshaw - sacrificed to tag Harmes - wonderful tagging game Hogan - gave us little T. McDonald - always looked dangerous Spargo - disappeared second half Garlett - disappeared whole game Neal Bullen - just lacks class Kennedy Harris - out of depth Melksham - was hardly sighted Petracca - was almost terrific Tyson - never play again Salem - just a game
  10. The conspiracy theorists will be out and about if Razor Ray umpires and hands out the first free of the day to his best mate Brayshaw
  11. I was at the game and watched the full replay twice, and I don’t retreat from my initial description of his performance. And for whomever it was that claimed I have an anti OMac bias, I think you’ll find that more often than not, I give him positive reviews .
  12. Except he was taken apart by his opponent who took a team high 8 marks against him, which was 1 less than Hogan took in a forward line that was inundated with entries
  13. Definitely what I saw. There was an obvious exponential will to take the game on quicker and more directly, from my observations
  14. Jones - not his best Hogan - great second half T.McDonald - versatile and important Garlett - clever but limited Neal-Bullen - scoreboard pressure only Spargo - energy and anticipation Hannan - little to excite Lewis - some important touches Melksham - better second half Oliver - genius at work Petracca - quicker ball delivery Fritsch - rarely wastes possessions Vince - played his part Brayshaw - career best game Frost - confident and strong Gawn - dominated the air Harmes - playing important roles Hibberd - safe and important Jetta - was rarely sighted Kennedy -Harris - deserves another game O.McDonald - loose and unconvincing Salem - rebounded with aplomb
  15. Out : Smith In : Baker
  16. Jones - disposal was iffy Viney - great second half Jetta - had little involvement O.McDonald - was rarely troubled Smith - little to excite Lewis - fumbled too often Frost - impressive and steady Salem - kicking was sublime Stretch - improved with confidence Oliver - 4 impressive quarters Gawn - dominated the centre Fritch - is looking tired Melksham - was hardly sighted T. McDonald - provided a target Spargo - did little well Hogan - team focused game Neal-Bullen - effective tagging game Garlett - on shaky ground Hibberd - reliable and effective Brayshaw - classy and prolific Harmes - continued impressive patch Petracca - more impressive output
  17. Probably not in the best today but Baker is easily our most exciting talent at Casey... he’s going to be a fan favourite sooner than later.
  18. The only issue in dropping him is that there are many others who are less value to the team and equally as unproductive: Hannan, Neal Bullen,Vince, Tyson, etc, etc. Where do you draw the line?

I’m pretty sure our ‘saviour’ Jackson left Essendon under acrimonious circumstances... that obviously didn’t impinge on the results he’s achieved with us
  20. Fritsch<>Brad Green - both left footers - both strong overhead - both mercurial around goals - both have meticulously groomed hair
  21. I believe McCartin will suffer from the same syndrome our own John Fidge did about 30 years back. He came to us as a man-mountain of a 17 year old who'd dominated schoolboy football because..he could, but either through lack of desire or lack of appropriate coaching for a precociously talented junior, he failed to rise to any heights and was eventually shafted to Brisbane and ignominy.
  22. Dennis Cometti has occasionally let slip that the Dees have always been his sentimental favorites
  23. Watch footage of him on You Tube and you'll be hugely impressed . He's a boy mountain , and obviously still growing , whilst his athleticism for one so tall is outstanding , as is his desire to put himself into a contest . I think we can feel as excited about this one as we do about our first two picked prodigies .
  24. Actually Watts already looks as if there is some body development taking place ; the same certainly can't be said for Morton whose body shape looks to be regressing
