  1. I think the answer to that question is like the answer to most questions of this sort, “only when it benefits the team not in red and blue”
  2. Well done to our boys there in the first half. Taking the game on and playing to win. Learn to dispose of the ball correctly and even up the umpiring and we are a very good team again.
  3. Preuss needs to loose 10-15kg of bulk over summer like Max did a few years back, it would improve his mobility a 1000%
  4. 2 nice set shots on goal there for our boys, great stuff.
  5. Yep I see where I went wrong there. You can actually hear the excitement in the umps voice every time they pay one to Richmond, and then you can hear the reluctance when they are forced to pay one our way. Hey
  6. HOW THE [censored] WAS THAT NOT 50 TO OLIVER
  7. Why doesn’t frost just keep running and bouncing? Doubt anyone can catch him. PS video shows jake rolled right ankle slightly
  8. Yeah but he’s quite short so ump probs gave tigers benefit of the doubt
  9. Level back on bench, looks like he will play again today
  10. Won that quarter I thought. Umpires providing a 2 goals per quarter advantage to the tigers. Turnovers will mean we loose the game.
  11. At Auskick with my oldest kid, skills here much better than Melbournes atm
  12. So what you’re saying is increase his load exponentially so the risk of soft tissue injury goes through the roof? PS agree we want all our players fitter but sport science has come a long way over the past 20 years or so (not that it seems we are following sound principles with the injuries we have had).
  13. Again. Happened when they first came into the league when we finished 16th the year prior
  14. Don’t bet on it Ethan, having sat in about 15 lectures from ASADA, cross contamination is one of the leading factor in positive drug tests in athletes. Every athlete (and coach) from about 14 years of age that has any involvement with Australian and state based teams must complete a host of education measures including completing an online module provided by ASADA. I myself have to complete this module yearly to remain qualified to coach on teams. In those modules it discusses the very topic consistently. Heres an interesting article on the Shayna Jack issue: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/athletics/athletes-should-not-trust-supplement-labels-says-ex-wada-boss-20190731-p52clv.html And a link to the topic on the ASADA website: https://www.asada.gov.au/substances/supplements-sport interestingly Swimming Australia is sponsored by a supplement company, so they must be considering their position right about now.
  15. I think you might be right here Pennant. It’s quite common for less experienced coaches to overcoach when under pressure rather than to maintain the norm. interestingly when a coach gets the sack, it’s very common that the players report the new coach (fill in coach) encourages them to play with freedom and use their natural instincts. These are the very 2 things that suffer if your overcoaching.
  16. He definitely will be and GC will love getting him with their compo pick, pick 3 and Melbourne choose..... an inside mid who can’t kick!
  17. Agree with you but won’t happen. Remember women’s footy? Dogs and us invested in it for years before the AFL got on board and in the process we got bent over big time.
  18. They’ve kicked 2 since he went off, perhaps he was holding them back ?
  19. Wow 1 point the diff! WTF
  20. The best bit was the controlling umpire called it advantage and the other ump called it back
  21. Demons get a free, then take the advantage, umpire calls advantage, some other umpire calls us back! What the [censored]
  22. We should drop Frisch, he’s playing too well
  23. Kaos game plan at its finest, bet the opposition didn’t expect that ?
  24. Now petty go so left when he needs to kick right ???
