Thanks for hanging in there, my 2 BigWs (@WalkingCivilWar and @Witches Hat) - and any other puzzlers out there. You'd think I could come up with any number of clues but I'm struggling! So I'll borrow 1 of @Demonstone's interesting side aspects: There were just 6 candidates in the men's team for the 4 unavailabilities that would allow the 4 particular replacements that would complete the 'something' for the women's team. DS noted that the other 2 happened to be not only our positional bookends, but our numerical ones as well; Maysie and BBB! Any other outs would have left the 'something' incomplete. (I could have outed Stephen or Ben; the 4 I chose were merely the closest to like-for-like for the 4 who had to come in.)

Back from sabbatical to say, belatedly, I hope as many of you as possible had meaningful IWDs, reflecting on your own strengths or on the strengths of women in your lives or the world. International Womens Day: Another day closer to fulfilment of the objectives of change and growth it champions. (p.s. Reading all the posts herein, I again reflect how hard I find it to imagine any other team's supporter forum matching ours)

@Demonstone, @Witches Hat, @Mazer Rackham (I think?), @WalkingCivilWar and - welcome to you, to this crazy band - @mo64 (sorry if I've missed anyone): For reasons of zero interest, I'm sure, my domestic circumstances mean I'm 3 days on, 3 days off in my access to Demonland for other than passing glances. Your recent quizzes seem to be 'dropping' during my sabbaticals and it's been pretty much 'red rover' by the time I've returned! Still, it's been fun catching up, post factum, with everyone's hair pulling, kite flying and fist pumping.

Gee, 'Chunk' gets in a lot of these teams! (Just letting you know I'm here, though only able to hang around the edges of this one atm...)

@Witches Hat, we need all the quiznerds we can get, so I think newbie(?) @Lampers - who, after all, was impressively quick! - should be let off with an in-(quiz)house reprimand. And maybe a little something from the trophy cabinet?
