Strange comment..
No one is questioning Fullarton as the selection, the question was whether we had other options for that back up experienced ruckman which it's well known that we did in Scott Lycett.
Fullarton is more forward then ruck and that's been evident all along. If you go through training reports for instance, Will Verrall has dominated over him in the ruck duels in the match sims...
...which puts Verrall at what sort of level? Good enough for Max back-up?

Fullarton can go on the Inactive List if done for the year but surely worst case scenario is tendon tear and missing 12 weeks.
7 Feb training gallery, pic 9, appears to show him booted, running and doing ball work?

Pic 9 of the 7 Feb training gallery appears to show Tom Fullarton running and doing ball work. What's latest on his hammy, then? Presumably he was cleared of tendon tear?

May was drafted as a forward, iirc
Been wondering whether (read 'scared'...) to bring May into discussions about our forwards failings (though these seem a thing of the past going by the reports and responses herein!😊)
But now that ice is broken, I add he was (I think) All-Australian Under-18 CHF.

Can we please stop all this risky talk of players being rucked? It's rrightening.

I hope so!!! How good are those cupcakes?! I’m pretty sure they’ll be on offer at both practice matches. 😋
Also, @picket fence… I’m always “Till B!ttch” at our BBQs. I’ve only been on cooking duties once and never will be allowed again since it seems not many folks like their snags well-done, and by well-done I meant burnt beyond recognition. Go figure 🤷♀️
I did cooking duties at the original(?) Gosch's and QB Fed Sq barbies.
Pressure!

There goes my punt on Tommy being 2024's Judd McVee...
(That's all the catastrophising I got, this early on a Sunday morning!)

I stand corrected !!
Jamie Charman and Beau McDonald also say hi!! Premiership ruckmen for Brisbane, not exactly household names!!
So does 199cm Greg Dear.

Any suitably qualified 'Landers out there able to offer an objective view of Ben's 2024 availability on the basis of the 'facts', as far as we can get them?
1. Richo, on Club's X: "...a loose piece of cartilage in the knee joint, and this will need to be treated with a small surgical procedure...”.
2. IIRC, his partner's social media post last year that he has "bone on bone".
3. Our training reporters' observations of his participation (though there seems to be a range here, from 'always in rehab' to 'featuring in match sims'!)

Great show. I remember 1 episode where Max thought 99 had the hots for Agent 43.When Max asked her 99 said, you’re worth two 43s Max.
See my 14 October last post on the 2024 Jumper Numbers thread, Dingo (where @tilly18 also then nominated the actual episode 👏) but it's well worth dusting off again every once in a while! 😄

How brilliant that MFC posted this from yesterday’s training.
Genuine or sarcastic, SD?
Could you post it here so we, the Unfacebooked, can also consider?

Take the last player you’d ever expect to play all games and become one of our most reliable players with and without ball in hand.
No one saw McVee coming and now he’s tracking to be the best Judd to ever play the game!
His teammates did - refer the occasional club website interviews during the pre-season (which I linked to in (MB)JMcV's 'Welcome to...' thread).
I'll be looking for those again this year. But pending them, I'm going to go out on a (long!) limb: Tom Fullarton!

We're about to cop a thunderstorm here and I'd best turn my computer off, but not before revealing the common factor being that all the players are currently on our list.
The reference in the OP to "since the year 2000" was a pink herring. Sorry!
Thanks to those who played. See ya all later.
Something more than 'Sorry' needed, 'Good' Sir. Wikipedia-ing and Demonwiki-ing - precious time I will not get back!

The virtual bonus point will likely be yours. Or someone else, someone other than me. I’m really sch!tt at working out what links the players. 😭

I didn't.

Well done to @Jjrogan who was a second too late with Tom Fullarton but did solve:
10. Jacob van Rooyen (anagram of "a banjo conveyor" which was shattered).
Let me be the first:
So 5,3,6 then...
