Anyone watching Swans v Pies? I hope the medicos have best-practice diagnostic and management skills for insect inhalation... Serious note: Initial thoughts on the level of this season's skill and game plan improvements? I'm expecting 'noticeable' in both, and a challenge for our girls to keep up, having been leaders in pretty well all the previous seasons.

1991 was nice: A. Jakovich 71, D. Bennett 55 (though a come-down on his 1990 87...) There were one or two games of nice overlap, I think?

Broke a looooong break from TV footy shows to watch F/C tonight cos maybe some kudos for Saturday. Seemed like the set-up was, 'Here's Melbourne's problems' and the ensuing discussion was, 'Here's Melbourne not having problems'. Back-peddling writ small.
