I disagree with this entirely. It showed with our backs against late last year in the last few rounds that this isn’t the case. These media personalities are just searching for a headline. Let’s dissect the facts. - 17 off season surgeries with most of these not returning to training until late Jan. - the loss of Jetta, May, Hibberd, Lever (the whole backline) in the early part of the season. - T Mac severely out of form, then finds form and is out for an extended period of time along with no Weed, Milkshake and Garlett - Hannan, Smith and Vanders have also been out for extended periods Yes Collingwood and WC also had limited pre seasons but they are much more seasoned than our player we still have a young list. I agree we haven’t performed as well as we should but there are reasons. Anybody saying these things have not played a part in our fall this season is delusional just like the media.

Personal opinion is that a bigger mid is a much better option than the smaller option. I think Anderson is nearly 190cm and is a goal kicker. Rowell from what I have seen is more inside which I think we have enough of.

I understand your sentiment but you are not recruiting players such as Jenkins on 800k a year as depth players. Your depth players need to be developed and I believe kids are the best approach here. Having T Mac and Weed both injured is unlucky.

I’m not sure who will be available come the end of the season but getting C graders is not going to do anything to improve us except clog up the list. T Mac back in form and another pre- season into Weeds will make a massive difference.

Jenkins is still under contract and Casboult is a liability.
