Adrian Anderson to pass judgement on our Boys
Adzman replied to Demon Stalwart's topic in Melbourne Demons
Adrian Anderson should just walk away from this one.......no point angering the football public/fans any further. The AFL is losing credibility by the second. Hammering guys for their twitter remarks (which IMO were harmless) is just rubbing salt into the wound. An unnecessary wound I might add. Walk away Anderson, or forever be known as a piece of [censored] rot. -
Looking forward to see what the Brotherhood can produce! Davey is going to have to lead if it is going to work. A performance like last week would be divine.
-
It was a great tackle. Tribunal F'd up. I am going to stick with Baseball going forward......at least it makes sense.
-
Even if Martin is fit and selected I think Juice gets a guernsey also as a backup. If Martin can't go, Campbell or Gawn must accompany Juice at the selection table. Juice/Dunn combination is asking for trouble.
-
AFL need a please explain? I thought it was pretty obvious that the tribunal's decision was one of their worst ever. I would have been disappointed if the boys didn't rally around Trenners. AFL owe us dees fans a please explain!

Evans and Campbell for me.
-
Martin or Juice? or both? Weird how we lose Jamar/Spencer/Fitzy in the same damn week. Our ruck stocks looked invincible.........realty bites. Gawn isn't ready. They will call up Campbell before Gawn I would think.
-
We already have Newton available (who could be called on should we lose another tall) so I think next cab off the rank could be a utility/mid fielder. Evans form has him leading the pack, with Dan Nicholson next in line. Robbie Campbell could also be very handy if he is fit and ready to go. Evans and Campbell, or Evans and Nicholson?
-
If Spencer's knee really does need a reco then this could be it for him at AFL level. I imagine coming back from a knee reco is going to take some serious time. Horrible news for Jake, the club and us fans. Hopefully both boys can have a speedy recovery. Tall stocks seem to be thinning. Campbell being rookie listed now looking like a master stroke.

Grimes has had so many setbacks so far in his career. I hope this one doesn't keep him out for too long.
-
He is leading on the field like no other. It will happen soon enough, because he is really the guy who lifts when we need it. The leadership group will come around soon enough.

Maric is stunning by foot, one area our club doesn't excel in. If he can find the footy like he did today there is always a spot for him. I was wrapped to finally see him have a good one, because I was starting to have my doubts about him. Fingers crossed he can build on todays performance and have strong back-to-back games.

Watts BOG for the dees in the 1st. Thinking I would rather suffer through the Bieber movie than suffer through the next 3 quarters. Worst I have seen them play since 2008.
-
The Russian took his time, then hurried up. You are now looking at a premier ruckman playing his 100th game of footy. I look forward to his next 50 games.
-
Ricky on talent is in our best 22 for sure. Problem is he hasn't set the world on fire. He will work back into the side. Morton pushing forward has not helped his cause. Sooner or later we will drop some games and make some changes, which is when Ricky will be given another go. Ricky could play next week for all we know.

Might be worth a look on the rookie list just to see if he has any petrol left in the tank. I sure as $hit wouldn't be trading anything for him though. Sad to see Brock burnt out and broken. He was going to be a star!!

yeah, I have a reserved seat for the Aces. Worth the travel. Speaking of losing trends, my Pirates are now 4 games below .500 Not looking good.

Some Perspective on the First 5 Weeks
Adzman replied to Grandson of a gun's topic in Melbourne Demons
We haven't had that "Breakthrough" victory yet against a top side. Beating WC away would be a big deal, but knocking off a Collingwood/Geelong/Hawthorn would go along way to solidify our legitimacy as a finals side. If we can make a stand and win the next 3 I think we will make enough noise for people to notice. But a big scalp is needed to really give this side some credibility back. -
Don't look too much into it. Just be thankful you are a Demons supporter and not a Port supporter. That loss will be a bitter pill to swallow for coach, players and supporters.
-
I wouldn't be putting my house on the line with the Russian in front of goal. He has an incredible knack of butchering a set shot most weeks. Maybe more time down at FF will see him develop his goal kicking.

Scully Out for Another ... now ... back to Six Weeks
Adzman replied to Allen Jakovich's topic in Melbourne Demons
This sucks that Sculls is out for another 5 weeks. Love watching him in the Red and Blue. Hoping some luck breaks for the kid and he can get back sooner rather than later. In the meantime we can enjoy some of the other kids racking up games. -
If you add Scully and Jordie to this current lineup then I think we are a much better team. I am starting to feel that Scully's injury may be worse than we first thought. We might not get to see him play this season, so a chance for another player to lock down a role exists. It would be nice if Blease was that player. He is someone I look forward to seeing. I wonder if Cook will get a run at some point. Given we have a bevvy of tall stocks it would be hard to break into the team with our talls performing like they have been. Even mid sized forwards like Ricky and Bater can't get a consistent run.
-
The R&R could be good for the guys. It also gives us an extra week to let those players with little niggles to recover.

West Coast seem to be the early improver. Playing them after the break is going to be interesting. As far as North go we have no choice but to beat them if we want to be a finals side. They seem to have taken a step backwards so far, and they are not a top 8 side. If we are playing finals, a win against north is required.
