Trengove to Debut for Port
Good luck to him. If anyone deserves some luck from the football gods it's him.

Run home to Finals - 2018
No wrist slashing here, it's called a dose of reality. My comments are fair. We haven't beaten anyone, and until we do we are not contenders. Port aren't contenders either, but I'm not talking about them Lord.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
Lewis is pretty safe with the ball. I'm under no illusions that he could out run a tortoise, but he is not the problem. His job is to lead and steer the troops off the ball which he is doing a good job of. Our defensive spread is pretty good, and Lewis has been huge helping that happen. Last night wasn't his best game, but he wasn't near our bottom 6 or 8 last night.

Run home to Finals - 2018
Beating those 3 sides isn't going to prove much other than holding firm in the 8. We are the new flat track bullies, we beat up on the poor teams but can't get the job done against good competition. I'm sorry to say it but this side cannot win a flag this season. Unlike the dogs of 16, and tigers of 17 we have not been able to win games against good opposition. Until we can do that, we are just flat track bullies.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
I would like to see McKenna at VFL level first before putting a line though him. He hasn't really played so he is a massive unknown.

Bernie keen to lure Sloane to the Dees
If I was a forensic accountant I would be fantasising about auditing Hawthorn. They have been making cap room magically appear for the last decade.

Farewell Dean Kent
Interesting posts RE: Kent. In form and fit he is still a very useful player. It all depends on if the club thinks he can stay on the paddock. He might be able to move into the middle, he has some pace and mongrel about him. He is a long way down the pecking order, but I would like to see him get a run in the middle before deciding his fate.

New CEO - Gary Pert
Damn, I was hoping to get the CEO role.... Good luck to Pert, I think I would have been a more entertaining appointment...

Jordan De Goey
Would rather the filth overpay home and then watch him fizzle

Watts Dropped from Port
We won't be the only other ex demon running around in the sanfl. Toumpas, Trengove and Barry might all lineup in the 2s, could have four ex Dee's playing together in the sanfl. Port might need to rename their 2s the Port Casey Demons....

Petracca in a rut?
Probably the most uninspiring 50th game I can remember. Needs to sort himself out or he will be at Casey quickly.

2018 Contracts and List Details
That 2018 expiration column writes itself. There would be a large chuck of those players who won't get to put pen to paper and be delisted. Credit needs to go to list management here, I don't think we have any players under long term deals that shouldn't be. Get Harmes, Jetta, Gus and Omac under contract and you have our core locked up. The others ooc will either perform for another one year deal or find somewhere else to play. Fantastic list management.

What the Fritsch
The trading of Jack Watts for a lowish return seems like a distant memory given the way Bailey has slotted in. Would Wattsy get a game in the same side as Bailey? On current form sadly not.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - AUSTIN BRADTKE
I really like this signing. Coming from a professional sporting background is a huge advantage in terms of commitment and preparation. Should be able to take to the AFL system like a duck to water. If he has the goods he could be big max's replacement.

Looking forward to the Free Agency & Trade Period
That Collingwood would look to replace a young tall with a young tall. Plenty of chatter from Collingwood fans about it. Not sure you will get anything concrete at this stage of the year.

Looking forward to the Free Agency & Trade Period
We have some very good players of our own that are without a contract next season. How about we worry about signing them before raping and pillaging the rest of the league. Lot's of mail on Weeds to Collingwood given they might be losing Moore.

Salem ready to make his mark
Has no fear! Salem has arrived, and his best footy is still to come.

Our Failure to Crush Teams
I just don't think we are that sort of side yet. We will crush sides when we tidy up our forward 50 entries and reduce skill errors when rebounding from defense. The talent is there, we just aren't that side yet.

Angus Brayshaw
Gus is a smart footballer. I hope he can stay injury free and play some more footy like today. Great game today, reminded everyone why he was a top 3 pick!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Great debut! He smacks of Macaulay Culkin though. I thought the game against Essendon was another home alone movie...

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Suprise selection for me, but I like it. We need to uncover some more players, so worth a shot. Balic is a bit stiff not to be given a crack but he won't be too far off.

Angus Brayshaw
He played alright against the tigers. Keep playing him.

Time to show Oscar some respect!
He is out of contract at seasons end and probably is a key signature going forward. He has some haters, but I think most can agree he is best 22 and he is an important signature going forward.

Injury List - Season 2018
Not even round 1 and Vanders is still wearing the indefinite tag. It feels like he has been injured for more time than he has been fit. Its going to be a long road back, feel for the bloke. McKenna seems to be in the same boat, always under the injury cloud. I do wonder if either will make it on the park this season.
