I usually stick up for Australia when we are accused of being a racist country but maybe I should stop I am saddened by a lot of the views and opinions posted in this thread. Racist remarks of any kind are vile and cut so deep. comparing racist comments to other types of name calling or blokey banter is ridiculous. it is not upto the victim to 'move on', quit AFL or cop it on the chin. Racism is not acceptable. full stop. we still have a long way to go it seems

Apologies by those in the media that are ordered to do so don't hold much weight imo. From memory Eddie had 3 goes at his 'apology' until he started to sound the least bit remorseful So I don't hold it against those vilified to not just accept such apologies if the offense taken was great in the first instance

bugger! has been great to see Salem get some form together. have loved seeing him in the middle and winning some clearances. we've needed it with Viney out and Oliver out of form. He is a tough nut to not only play but play well with a broken thumb!

as a fellow skinny bugger, great to see size and muscle isnt everything in footy. what a great player! already one that you can trust completely with ball in hand (we don't have many of those). weighted passes, plays on instinct but developed correctly so he goes in hard when needed and just attacks the contest. can't wait to see him have the occasional stint at a centre bounce.

Im worried about St Kilda. Those in the know Ive heard from say that the 4 day break doesnt affect you too much for the initial game, but it has a big impact on how players pull up the week after. Im expecting a flat performance against the saints but hopefully we have enough talent to win. On previous form of the past 18 months, you'd expect the Dees to win 2 of the 3. we generally don't consistently win the easy ones. Let's see if we've gotten better!

After that performance I'm not sure the bombers will make the top 4. don't tell me the media in all their wisdom were wrong??? ?
