  1. A lot can and should change in the next 2 months. I am confident we will have a celebration at the G of vaccinated fans with 10s of thousands attending in December
  2. Who has Ladhams nominated? Link doesn’t work on tweeter
  3. Clarkson has certainly left the Hawks in an awful state. Very little youth coming through and the senior players are mostly ones that have been traded in, so they have no core leadership to bring them forward. if the rebuild started in 2018 they would be looking good now to bounce back. I think Mitchell is doing the right thing to start a rebuild and you do need to be aggressive, but you have to know the marketplace. there is no one is salary cap space. I would not be surprised at all if Mitchell or O'Meara leave at the last minute and the hawks are paying a chunk of their salary next year. they both came to the hawks for success and now they are looking at years of rebuilding with an untried and seemingly arrogant coach
  4. Remember the days when we hoped Jones would creep into this? now Fritsch is #16 what a world
  5. That was bloody awesome!
  6. Nothing better than seeing the Cats fans complain. Scott getting signed is the best thing that could happen. Keep going for a flag. danger, Selwood and hawk will be gone in 2 years and it will be an epic bottoming out! We’ll be there with the popcorn
  7. This time last year we had St Kilda odds to win the flag (~$21). what a 12 months it’s been

I certainly not peeved with our resignings. Chandler is super quick and has good skills, plenty of upside and why would Bobby be on a similar contract to a virtually untried kid?
  9. Cannot believe Mitchell has been calling coaches trying to offload his leaders and best players! I get the feeling he will go down swinging. Culture killer moves last minute deals for O’Meara likely I’d say. Clubs will wait until the hawks are more desperate
  10. I don’t doubt Scott is a very good coach. To finish top 4 with that list is no easy feat. He is very stubborn however and if he doesn’t change things up they could go down hill quickly. Selwood and Danger’s beaten up bodies will have to drop off very soon. And the Hawk can’t go on forever. Higgins and Dahlhaus etc are now starting to look like busts and they have very little youth coming through. if it wasn’t for Stewart at the back I’d say they wouldn’t make finals next year
  11. Is a 10 year deal too long?!?
  12. Carlton have finally recruited an actual quality midfielder. they may finally move out of the bottom 6 next year
  13. my argument is that players that have been suspended many times for doing much worse then Greene have not had their reputation tarnished, in fact sometimes they are admired for it. admittedly in the old days rough stuff was more common
  14. The way we smashed our way through finals, I feel there are few players carrying major injuries. Given the short break this should put us in a great position to rest the players and get them ready for round 1. I would be cautious with the kids and the oldies. Rivers/Kozzi/Jackson, give them a big rest. then May, Gawn etc. but the majority of the list are in the sweet spot of big hardened bodies but still young
  15. Articles in the media about Greene's reputation being tainted by suspensions. what a joke, he is a gun footballer. Matthews and Dermie are in the media and regarded as legends despite being thugs on the field
  16. I wonder if we'll ever just keep our future first round pick instead of trading it away to get into the current first round? lol
  17. Unlucky not to play more AFL footy really. You can't beat the Peado
  18. Meanwhile at Bailey Smith’s Instagram page....
  19. Nev going where he can make a big impact on footy and on Australian culture in general really he will be welcomed back in a few years no doubt
  20. Watching Trac mature over the past 2 years has been nothing short of astonishing. I feel like he knows how us fans feel and wants to be our hero, our legend. 100% invested and emotionally connected now. Could go down as one of our greats of all time.
  21. wow that is fairly damning on the Saints culture. Players fall out of favour which is fine but the Saints have not been good in recent times are respecting their players, especially outgoing players
  22. I really hope the bombers don't get their hands on King
  23. the Saints have plenty of mids with average disposal. they need some class
  24. I wouldn't have guess the Dunstan one! Saints fans regularly lament his disposal but he does add grunt. who would have thought the we would lack inside mid depth?! Sparrow, Harmes, Gus, Jordon are there but I agree an extra experienced big bodied inside mid would be handy as injuries are inevitable
  25. Maybe Pies fans can buy it and pretend they won the flag?? wow I’m getting arrogant pretty quickly 😂
