this is what happens when the Demons aren't playing on the weekend. can you imagine the off season?
  2. IF Barrett has a face for TV THEN I might be a chance for Hollywood
  3. The real question is: will Goody review the game afterwards? this is critical to any future success 😂
  4. If we get smashed then no. If a close one, I would not be satisfied with the outcome of 2021 but I would be satisfied with the direction of the team
  5. None of them even make sense! how are any of them sliding doors moments?? Hmm a sliding doors moment, what could I pick.... IF the Saints picked up Petracca instead of McCartin and the Bont instead of Billings THEN they would have finished in the top 4 this year (I usually don't like revisiting the draft as I'm a MFC fan but these two mistakes were pretty bad)
  6. My money is on J Cameron to be too hyped up against his old side. He’ll do a cheap off the ball hip and shoulder and cop 2 weeks
  7. My point is any coach would be better the next time, for instance Voss who has been with Port and done very well. It is a bigger risk taking a punt on an untried coach, eg Shaw, Teague in recent years
  8. True, But I reckon it’s due to blokes not been given a chance. If Hardwick or Clarko or bomber were sacked prior to their first flag, they would not have been hired elsewhere going on past history.
  9. I reckon Michael Voss is worth another try at the gig. I never understand why coaches arent given another try after not being successful. surely you would be better the second time around
  10. Cerra - 21yo, 6'2", 76 games Highly skilled mid who started outside and moved to more inside mid this year and averaged 23 touches. About to hit his prime and can only improve imo. Logue was quoted saying: "I've never seen a man hit more opposite foot passes lace out to the forwards while in traffic" imo we lack classy outside mids and he could be great addition. I could see him playing off HB also with his kicking skills
  11. Such a talented youngster and things just didnt fall his way. Injuries and then the game looked too quick for his contested style Served the Demons well when he played for us. All the Best Dom
  12. Agree. was just about to suggest this. Weideman plus 2022 first rounder +/- later picks should get it done. Lobb may leave Freo so they need another tall fwd Cerra is a quality young player and would help make us the team to beat in the next few years
  13. Coming into 2019 I predicted over the next 3 years we would miss the finals at least once and make a GF at least once. Needless to say it wasn't looking good in March this year! but I'm happy to brag about it now (well soon hopefully!) improvement is rarely linear with a young team
  14. Greene has never done anything so violent and physical as what Gaff did. A brain fade is letting him rather easily. He broke his jaw!
  15. The Cats are a proud group. I expect them to beat GWS convincingly. Without McStay and Hipwood the Lions have little HF connection or marking power going forward. Tag Cameron and they are struggling I think the dogs have regained some form and will beat the Lions in a thriller. Don't forget the Dogs were favourites for the flag a fair chunk of the year and are only really missing Bruce
  16. Gill covering himself well here. Letting the tribunal take the hit and the AFL look like they are taking a hardline against ump incidents doubt he’ll go the appeal
  17. The double Penalty in finals is to stop the Lynch type swinging punches so I wouldn’t have thought so
  18. Well the Giants have no option but to come out and physically smash the Cats and try to spread and run the oldies off their feet Sounds good to me! Bring in Pruess to team up with Mummy to break some bones
  19. Will be interesting to see if the Giants appeal. given the potential for your best player to miss a GF I guess you'd take the chance. They better have Siri on standby
  20. And Tassie wants it's own AFL team.... Get internet and phone coverage and then we'll talk
  21. Considering he could miss 3 finals including a prelim and GF, the suspension is not insignificant equal to 6-8 in the H&A
  22. YOU'RE GOD DAMN RIGHT I INTENDED TO BUMP HIM!! YOU WANT ME ON THAT FIELD, YOU NEED ME ON THAT FIELD!
  23. you're not giving much credit to supporters there. We shouldn't limit our ethics or behaviours based on the worst behaved player. Toby started as a supporter then became a player. I agree with JjRodan that there is a bigger picture here many are missing. Given Toby 10 weeks won't change the culture around respect for umpires. There is much work to do. eg, if I yell abuse at the umps in my lounge room and my kids observe, etc etc
  24. Gleeson: It is simply not true to say you didn't intend to make contact with him, is that correct? Just keep reframing the question in more confusing ways and Toby should break and start swearing and abusing the lawyer then case closed! Soooo you'd say it's not untrue that you didn't think you should not have made contact? I find that have to believe
  25. He truly is The Barometer when he plays, the Lions play poorly and generally lose
