  1. can’t pick this one. dogs are into 2.20 but i’m surprised it’s not more. we have the best midfield in the comp. our defence is just good without May and our fwd line is average until proven otherwise. this could be a shoot out as the dogs defence is poor. T Mac and Brown to kick 3-4 each wont be the end of the world if we lose. it’s a long season. i’d prefer to peak in Aug/Sept
  2. Predicting Viney to intimidate them early and get 10 tackles. Fritsch should clean up with 5+ goals May will dominate their tall timber and Salem will use his composure and skill off HB Uh oh
  3. 1961 proved my point. didn’t look at the others 😬 31K at brunswick St oval?? [censored] me
  4. which game were you watching? Melb would have run over the old Cats last night. they kicked ridiculously straight and that won’t happen often. Pies smashed them on all stats And a bit of respect for our premiership coach please. i guess some ‘supporters’ are never happy huh?
  5. love the Swamp. nice 62 year record for the Cats. Enjoy Selwood n Co I assume all the Dees in the table would have been games where we were ahead by so much we didn’t need to score in the last Q 👍🏻
  6. relax guys. it’s round 1 the Cats aren’t that bad and the Pies aren’t that good.
  7. yep BS 50s and free kicks from nothing put geelong in control let the game play on FFS
  8. bulldogs remind of a supercoach team. full up with 6-8 stars and then the rest of the team is NQRs and don’t worry about defence. we’ll be right
  9. can we just make sure Steven doesn’t hit the turps as he’s injured and it’s Paddy’s day. i’ve already been to the Drunken Poet and the Last Jar today. no sign of him. i’ll stay on my quest
  10. The hamstrings connected to the Calf muscle the calf muscle connected to the ankle bit Any questions, call Dr. Dub
  11. Milkshake is the perfect sub. mid sized, can hit the scoreboard can mark, can play midfield if needed. and usually only plays one good quarter per game!
  12. Cripps looking to prove my wrong too. started the last very well
  13. Cripps has been poor all game by his standards he is no Clarry
  14. what’s up with Curnow?? he got out worked in a marking contest by Rioli! i thought he would explode this season
  15. aside from the first minute there was 4 goals in 60 minutes. horrible footy
  16. gotta love round 1. games are an absolute shambles players exhausted the game day thread Sat night should be fun
  17. Tigers lucky they got Taranto or they’d be no chance of finals
  18. he has a good game every 2 months. usually saves it for us
  19. so good to have footy back!!
  20. have you seen Lobb play? offers zero at ground level either through athleticism or lack of effort
  21. cmon guys, but if support for Tommo. he is a big unit and just needs to spoil and bring it to ground. he gives everything. get behind him
  22. it’s the young small fwd Jones that’s out. kicked 2 in preseason game. with him and weightman they have not much at ground level. we will smash them on the rebound
  23. 37oC on Saturday! The 200 north fans that turn up to Marvel stadium might actually melt. is there any hot weather rules that kick in for footy? extra drinks breaks, etc? not human to play footy in that temp
  24. Carlton should win easily. The Tigers are old and the Blues forwards are the best in the comp I predict the talking points to be West Coast winning well and Port winning. I reckon Port will do well this year and beat the Lions first up. They have some new recruits and it would be typical of Ken to pull a great season out of his backside when he on the chopping block
  25. 1. Melboure 2. Brisbane 3. Sydney 4. Footscray 5. Carlton 6. Collingwood 7. Geelong 8. Port Adelaide Richmond Fremantle Gold Coast West Coast Adelaide Saints Essendon GWS North Melbourne Hawthorn Premiers: Melbourne Demons Runner up: Brisbane Brownlow: Oliver Rising star: Ashcroft Spoon: Hawks
