No doubt she will be the Coach of the Demons W team before too long. Has all the tools and is a pioneer. She would be throwing away a fair bit of money in the media though, her role with 7 will only grow. A woman coaching an AFL men's team? it's hard to imagine but things change huh? obviously no reason why not but it'll take some time for that to happen I reckon

Thank you - I agree 100% with everything you have written. He is a buffon, who was once a good commentator but has lowered his colours to inflate his ego over the years. He is more interested in being one of the boys and being 'cool' and right in his eyes rather than complimenting the game in his peripheral role. The Kozzi moment - number 2 - is the perfect example, just call the game don't give your opinion on where he should kick it FFS. The commentary becomes about whether BT was right or not rather than the game. The worst part he could have been a great commentator, he has a great voice and can build excitement but he's gotten too big for his boots and now looks an arrogant fool.

Will it be a twilight game??

Give him what he wants. He has given us a flag and has the squad absolutely perfectly positioned for more success. a fabulous coach and well respected man.

Dare I get excited about not making the trip to Mordor in 2022? *not that I think we wouldn’t win
-
Might have to watch cellar dwellers Hawks play Pies
-
I heard late in the season someone at the club say his shoulders were fine this year which was why he was marking above his head. So potentially just wear and tear on the big bull

Driven blokes like T Mac and Viney have plenty of mates now. good to see everyone is fit and doesn’t need time off legs. I like the idea, maintain fitness rather than have to get it back. Train hard now and have a good break over Xmas im expecting a more impressive H&A season next year. With some smashings

Hore is unlucky. Very good mark and kick and good insurance for Lever. Injuries killed his chances would be a worthy rookie pick up

Round 1 after winning the flag is big enough without needing the dogs as an opponent. I don't give a rats who we play actually, once I am there!

Yeah true was a bit of a tongue in cheek comment re Scully -
2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
DubDee replied to TRIGON's topic in Melbourne Demons
Horne-Francis is the most universally agreed Number 1 pick since Scully -
It has been reported a couple of times that he’ll get a one year deal. Not sure what the hold up is. Maybe some manager negotiations?

Doesn’t apply to Jackson, Bowey, Rivers, Kozzi though 🙂

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
DubDee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Trac always looked like he had star potential. McCartin was just a big kid who could outmark other kids. He never had the athletic potential to be a star. A good fwd at best imo. a terrible error. Saints would be a different team with Trac in it -
Hey, let's not limit this just to the Cats, how about our old friends the Hawks?? Check out the BnF results. some lean years ahead and not much youth coming through. with hardly any picks in the draft, and no trades done, 2022 will be a wasted year Hawthorn Hawks: Peter Crimmins Medal Tom Mitchell (161 votes) Blake Hardwick (126) Jaeger O'Meara (121) Dylan Moore (101) Chad Wingard (100) Sam Frost (95) Daniel Howe (83) Changkuoth Jiath (79)

Well JJ never got on the park so is he really a premiership player? No disrespect meant, I just find it ridiculous you get credited with a game when you don’t play in it

Hawks on the Slide: How Mitchell is making life hard for himself
DubDee replied to rpfc's topic in Melbourne Demons
go on a Cats fans forum and you'll see how happy they are. top 4, 9 out of 10 years for 1 GF and flags is chronic finals failure obviously its a lot more successful than we have been but I would not be happy with almost getting there. it is not the aim I'd prefer the dogs record over the past 10 years over the Cats. Top 4 finishes = zero. 2 GFs, 1 flag -
a lot of average players moving around. worst trade period in years. Pies and Hawks etc stuck with average lists
-
Oh right, didn’t realise that was the other offer. You’d certainly take that if you’re the Cats
-
Hilarious that Clark is holding the Cats accountable for his poor development and making the move to Freo happen. Geelong will get shafted by Freo and I am loving it.

Geelong are showing zero interest in their team's mid-long term success. The board, FD and coaches are belligerently determined to get a flag out of their old heroes to the detriment of the whole club! I've never seen a club do this to this extent, maybe the Saints of 2011-12 but you could kind of understand this given their flag drought. Scott's pride and arrogance is going to leave the Cats on their knees for a decade. These days you cannot build a list via trade, just look at the players available this year. The irony is, if they have of used a few high draft picks over the past 5-6 years rather than trading for Dahlhaus/Higgins etc they would have a much better chance of winning a flag in 2022.

Dawson for pick 18 is an absolute steal! Swans should have held out for a second rounder in addition. just because it is technically a first rounder doesn't mean much
-
What a great time to be top with young list! with salary cap squeeze and not many players available teams are not able to fill their gaps we didn't need anyone but we still got a decent mid depth player it is hard to fathom the change in the past 8 years
