I’m very happy with those words. Bravery and strength do not only refer only to physicality, but the bravery to talk about personal stuff when it’s easier to say nothing and suffer
-
okay I must be dumb, still can't get it I think I'll look at something shiny

cmon mate, I was trying to send a positive message about how it's healthy and brave to talk and mental health. I obviously was not trying to insult previously generations or war vets us men from previous generations were never encouraged to discuss this stuff and I don't think it's healthy

Well spoken Steven. Great for kids (and adults) to see a tough guy like May talk about his feelings. Gone are the days of thinking psychs are for weak people, only the strong and brave have the guts to talk about hard stuff and get better

Why is everyone helping Satan! Who knows what kind of evil content he is uploading!

Appreciate the call out mate. Sorry for the late reply I’ve actually been working, which is not like me im afraid I’m at a loss. I don’t have a cryptic mind I’m afraid.

1. Exciting attacking footy returns 2. Kozzi signs 3. OD makes it to 2024 and beyond

Tough one. All coaches are under pressure all the time. I guess I was assuming the coach under pressure implies he is close to being sacked. Like I said 6-8 key players were carrying injuries last half of last year so imo this does not add any pressure to Goody. Stability wins flags, if we were reactive and sacked Goody which many on here supported in 2020 we would not have a flag imo and could have lost key players. To answer your question, I would tolerate one down year over the next 3 once it is short lived and Goody still ‘has the players’ and has the vision and believe

So you’d consider sacking goody in 2023 after he broke our drought and finished first and second in H/A the last two years? That would be absolute madness injuries and underdone players surely the main reason for our poor form late 2022 even if Goody goes 10-0 again next year people won’t give him any credit.
-
The pressure is rising on Goodwin?? Really? why do the herald keep banging on about this? They had a full article on this last month. Goody has been the most successful coach in the league over the past two years, arguably only Scott ahead of him. He has helped assemble and develop an amazing group. Once the list gets fit, rested and does a full preseason, I have us as premiership favourites staggering how underrated Goody still is. Compare him with Bevo - won a flag then missed finals the next two years but no pressure

Kozzy Pickett Re-Signs for 4 Years

Why do people think he would leave? -
So for tall fwds we have 2 kids that have never played, 2 injury prone old blokes and Schache who couldn’t secure a fwd spot in 8 years at the dogs. Oh and 2 rucks who arent fwds in 2022 lack of tall forwards was our biggest issue. im hopeful JVR will be a player but we can’t hang out hopes on a kid. And I’m hopeful T Mac can get his body right. But a quality fwd in his early 20’s wound be a good get

Merry Christmas to all demonlanders having a cracking holiday season. Drink enough to survive the family catch ups! im totally going on a diet next year and will lose my gut come round 1. *crossed fingers

When I saw the click bait article in the herald sun I almost fainted! thank Christ it’s only a minor surgery

did you see the Tigers on Swan street? and that was just 20-30 thousand fans. can you imagine 4 million? there'll always be issues with a crowd that size
-
If AFL was played by billion globally you would see the same stuff. Are you aware of what life is like in Argentina? the economic and social issues? Football is more than a sport, it represents hope and something to escape their lives. Millions attended and did not riot, but of course the story is the ones who did. Poverty and large crowds can lead to this. There is nothing intrinsic in football that makes people riot, the issue is much bigger than that A remarkable turn out, shows how much it means to them.

AFL Crystal Ball: Way-Too-Early Predictions for 2023
DubDee replied to daisycutter's topic in Melbourne Demons
Geelong put everything into 2022. Selwood gone and Hawkins another year older expecting them to be around 6th next year, especially with their tough draw -
I’d have north, hawks, Gold Coast and Saints as my bottom 4
-
Some of the ‘fans’ that ran on the pitch have been linked with an extremist group.
-
Agree. Crows will not be bottom four. Building nicely imo
