BERNIE VINCE (Appreciation Thread #1245)

That all depends on how annoying you find him chook.Mildy Moderately Very Stuie -
Foxtel aren't doing much better. "Carlton have been really competitive winning 2 from their last 6" Carlton are crap and will get smashed, just call it as it is.
-
They'll be lucky to keep up for half a quarter. Let's hope the Hawks don't take it easy. In other news, Tom Boyd was dropped.

Still laughing.

I think so. And when it makes it all the way in it's called a "touch down" I believe.

Sounds like our family, honestly some of the best memories.

Don't you just get a ball and run into someone who's standing in front of you? And occasionally stick a finger in someone's bottom?

The appeal of NicNat is his marketability. Living in WA I have a lot of mates who support the Eagls. They know he is overrated, there's never any debate. But the kids love him, he brings in the money. Commentators obviously get sucked in as well. -

I think most of us got your post Chook, some are just a little slower than others. It was also one of my first thoughts as well. Very popular player and for good reason. -
I know exactly what you mean. I've only been to one Demons win at Subiaco and was lucky to make it out unscathed, completely feral. Different story if they win.Perhaps safety in numbers and stick with MFC crowd.

Also an interstate member but my mate is an Eagles member and purchases me a couple of tickets. I wouldn't hesitate sitting in the better seating. The wooden bench seating ala old Waverley Park that occupies most of Subiaco is horrible. *Can't see it happening but if we sneak in a win I couldn't think of a better place to be sitting.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 17
Ethan Tremblay replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why do I have the same feeling I had before we played Essendon? I feel like we could win but have that slightly sickening feeling we will screw it up. We dominated in almost every stat in round 11, tackles, free kicks and insided 50's excluded. We need to dominate the Saints with pressure, tackle hard and pressure them when they have the ball and a will win. -

Not being rude Monde but don't quite understand your post. If your sources are from within the industry why would they be rumours? Unless they are purely speculating themselves. -
Delistings/trades at end of the season

Ruckmen from different drafts were being compared, more so to discuss the development and coming along of Gawn. A poster suggested NicNat to be elite, Gawns stats were simply compared with his to discuss if NicNat was really elite. The Watts v Nicnat debate is a different issue, comparing picks 1 and 2 from the same draft. All player comparisons will cease from here mein fuhrer! -

Unsure if your post is in reply to mine or not willmoy. My point was that Gawn is or at least will be a better footballer than Nic Nat, I'm not just talking exclusively about tapping the ball. Nic Nat is 25 and played 123 games, Gawn is 23 and played 23 games. 100 games and 2 years age gap is a lot especially when talking about ruckmen. I hope Gawn continues his development because I'm more excited by him than Nic Nat. -

'Elite'No way is he elite. He's a decent tap ruckman that's about it. Not sure what your referring to when you say he does more than what is captured in your 'run of the mill disposals' considering everything is captured. He averages one mark, 12 disposals (at 62%), 33 hitouts, 4 score involvements, 4 tackles. Gawn averages five marks, 15 disposals (75%), 40 hitouts, 5 score involvements, 2 tackles. I'm not saying Gawn is better but Nic Nat is far from being elite. Gawn has a long way to go but I believe he will be a better footballer than Nic Nat.
