Hogan is a gun and gave us hope when we had none, it will be a shame to lose him. But I’m also excited to see who/what we end up with as a result of trading him, I think we’re in for a cracking trade period just quietly. #WhatdoesETthetradewhispererknow?

Thanks. The only talk over here is picks 4 and 5 to Melbourne for Hogan. Considering their lack of low picks (although they’ll also receive 22 for Neale), it makes sense, given their position, Fremantle may conduct the above trade with Port.

Excuse my ignorance but how would we end up with pick 10 to use on May? As I’ve posted previously, if it happens, the deal will be picks 4 and 5 for Hogan. What am I missing?

I was replying to a poster who was talking about waiting an extra year and waiting until May was a RFA. Hence my answer, he’ll be 28 then.

I’ve heard he’s desperate to keep Neale where the previous administration were willing to let him go to Brisbane for their first round pick in return. The first round pick from Brisbane and their own first round pick were going to be offered to Melbourne for Hogan. I wouldn’t expect to hear anything re Hogan until we know what Neale is doing. #ETthetradewhisperer.

If the price is right, definitely worth the punt. We’ve delisted five players already and may possibly lose AVB and most likely Kent, we can’t replace those 7 with ready made stars.

The club asked the AFL if he’d become a RFA (given his 8 years of service) if his contract was scrapped and the AFL said no.

If St Kilda have a lower fourth rounder than ours I’d suggest just a swap of fourth round picks.
