  1. 6. Oliver 5. May 4, Viney 3. Petracca 2. Jackson 1. Weid
  2. Our coaches should be directing our players in the back line not to aim kicks to Melbourne players in the second half. Clearly a flawed tactic so far.
  3. I did some extra hours at work today so I could stay up late on a school night, watch the whole game and go into work a bit later tomorrow. I hope I'm happy about that decision in a few hours time
  4. A few things. Beating Hawthorn is the best. In the last two weeks the structure and game plan have been changed. I have thought for the last year or so there is plenty of talent, but we keep playing guys out of position and they are being wasted. See Fritsch last year playing down back (even with the injuries we had), he’s a natural forward. Bringing O’Mac back in has allowed Lever over the last couple of weeks to play the role we paid a tonne of draft picks for. A really good intercept marker. Not a 2nd tall defender. Bennell is just looking better and better. Petracca is now elite. General Maximus was a beast. Even the negatives (other than the first few minutes of the game) the players were actually trying to hit targets. Gus was pretty bad with disposal today, but even when it didn’t come off it was the right decision. You can practice the skills, just long bombing it has shown where we fall down for the last eighteen months. Even Viney’s HTB towards the end of the game I was happy with, he was looking for good options and unfortunately the tackle stuck. At least that gives our defenders the chance to position, rather than the typical bomb that rebounds to the other side of the ground and we are out of position. The Weed and Jacko have definitely taken on the “compete get it, get it to ground” mantra and it’s working. A few goals between them as well. Nice. Our hard as nails midfield does work, as soon as we lower eyes. There will be mistakes cos I think they are playing a different style compared to the beginning of the year, but I’m not going to complain when we compete and play like we did today. And that’s what I got from today, we are trying to play differently. Allow players to be good at what they are good at with a decent spine of KPPs. There will be mistakes, but I’d much prefer to watch an organised team trying to win than the Chaos Ball of 2019 Sorry for the essay. Go Dees!
  5. The Guernsey looks awesome and I will chip in to get one. That being said, I'm really sorry to hear about fellow Demonlanders that are struggling at the moment
  6. Well this sucks. Glad the club was quick and secured an intra-club at the G, the more we play/practice there the better.
  7. Ahahahahaha, the ABC is extreme "left", pull the other one. The "left" if you want to narrow down things into a tribal wonkfest have been complaining about the ABC for years. But I guess if you see things like Alex Jones, Stormfront* and Sky News as the center.... not much can be done, you have already jumped down the rabbit hole and there isn't a ladder to get out of that shizen show. Extreme left?!?!? What a joke. *Yeah that was done on purpose.
  8. What a mess, a really young team selected (which is a risk) and then players being silly can derail all the work the coaching staff have put into the planning for the first game.

  10. Can the off topic discussion about bacteria (lol) warfare, bat eating and world politics in general please be taken back to the edit pages of Wikipedia, 4Chan, Infowars or "General Discussion" sub thread?
  11. Would have been selective editing, that episode was focused on the players we got (with a bit of context).
  12. Demonland is a very good fan site IMO. The mods do a great job. I find there are many views both positive, negative and neutral that are for the most part people engaging in a way that makes me want to come back and see what people are saying whether I agree with them or not. And chime in from time to time The training reports are great. The insights from people in the know are worth coming here to check out. The game day posts from people having a vent or enjoying our wins adds a lot for me being a Dees supporter in Tasmania. I would far prefer this than watching a game on my own. What I'm trying to say is my post is an example of why I don't think the OP (especially in the thread subject line) is correct.
  13. I'm loving all the decisions and announcements this off-season. At least we don't die wondering!
  14. Happy with this. Best 15 easily so an upgrade on a few other blokes and he can play multiple roles. Makes the team better immediately.
  15. Never forget! * * Can't find it with Titanic theme anymore
  16. Crazy idea but let's wait to see who is captain/co captain next year? I doubt Jones will be one, but I think it's a bit rank to put him in the same subject line as Tex. Tex is one of the biggest sooks going around, look what he said about Lever, made sure he wasn't invited to the B&F, slagged him off for not wanting "success". Yuck. Now he cracks the sads and is a shining light? More yuck. Tex is a [censored].
  17. That ending was as obvious as a Mills and Boon book. [censored]!
  18. As frustrating as it might be, no it's not.* The key question(s), is our list decent and how do we make it work. If it isn't and can't, then we ask another question(s). *It still might be part of the important stuff however.
  19. Not quite sure PJ left him with anything. From my understanding he had nothing to do with the decision about Pert.
  20. I'm a Tasmanian and all for supporting sport down here, but Blundstone is a horrible place to play and watch football, swirly, cold and in the middle of the burbs. Not much better for cricket either.
