  1. As for A Clockwork Orange it is a veritable orgy for the senses.
  2. Now Choke, It strikes me that you find art galleries boring, and that is fine but many of Kubricks scenes are like works of art, they fill the screen with messages creating a sensory overload that could take years to comprehend. Unlike much of modern culture Kubrick doesn't take the time to explain everything we a seeing, he allows the viewer to fill in the gaps. The first time I watched 2001 I thought the second half of the movie was boring and disconnected. Many great artworks take time to be appreciated and will never appeal to all tastes. As for training shame about Viney.
  3. Not only is the first half good it is jaw droppingly good. 2001 was made in 1968. It is visually stunning still today. You need to watch it again, I get more from it with each viewing.
  4. Fire ravages Collingwood, does $8 million dollars worth of improvements.
  5. Clockwork orange, Eyes wide shut. Edit:- Spartacus, Barry Lyndon
  6. This is what happens to training threads after about 30 posts. The only difference is that we are not ridiculing one another.
  7. Perhaps eclectic movie sicko? You can listen to a Kubrick movie, the soundtracks are awesome especially the later movies. Edit 2001 is pretty good too.
  8. Sorry, I was on the Tubular Bells Mike Oldfield story line. I missed the Mike Oldfields Fibular as in deceit story line. When words fail, literally. PS:- I would deny that too.
  9. Reminds me of a funny quote, "I went to a fight the other night and an ice hockey match broke out" I was obviously too grounded for Satyricon last night. I am a Kubrick fan myself.

  11. Saty I watched Fellini's Satyricon last night, now that is a weird movie, grotesque! The Devil Inside, dark. No accounting for taste I suppose. Thanks for the training report.
  12. Something like today's Apple? http://www.scribd.com/doc/127329355/2013-02-26-Apple-Fails-in-Its-Responsibility
  13. Must stop, we are hi jacking the thread. Karmann Ghia VW
  14. Yes OK. If he were 30 yo now and playing he would still be a good player. He did have 53 disposals in a match in 1989, before the advent of the give and get.
  15. How is Fitzpatrick going? He can play forward and fill in, in the ruck.
  16. Qwerty, Greg Williams was fast, he was one of the fastest users of the ball that I have seen. He was slow across the ground, but his ability at a stoppage to get the ball and fire of a handpass to a team mate in the clear was stunning. He was fast thinking and had fast hands, he would still be good today.
  17. Sad when a literal meaning becomes figurative. I don't know what people mean anymore. I love English because you can say what you mean in so many ways. But when the rules change I literally cannot be sure what people mean.
  18. He is a very good player, but literally kill for! I think not.
  19. Thanks for your constructive input 3D It is tedious but it is what we do here.
