    If it were a Melbourne player they'd be out for weeks doing that. But not the Media's lovechild. No chance. Anyway, as nice as it is that Mumford, Shaw, Ward, Johnson and Deledio appear to be cooked, we all know they have a ludicrous amount of young talent just waiting in the NEAFL. They were smashed with injuries this year and still finished in the top 4!

    Cameron can't coach, have thought that for a while now. Granted they lost one of their best midfielders but there's a trend here. After today's performance you wonder if recruiting Johnson has been a huge error of judgment.

    AFL House has been evacuated after they received a security threat over their support. This entire situation is a terribly sad reflection on the state of society right now. Divisive, expensive and entirely avoidable, the lot of it.

    This has been a terrible finals series. 4 blowouts and 1 game decided by terrible umpiring. Yuck.

    The two Scott brothers: the most overrated senior coaches in the league, by the length of the Flemington straight. One brother has successfully driven North Melbourne into the ground with nothing to show for it, the other was gifted a premiership by Mark Thompson and has failed to capitalise since.

    Funny how dropping some dead weight can help a team. I'd love to see Dildoledio's face if Richmond knock off GWS in the prelim. That would be incredible, delicious even.

    I think I'm just beyond disheartened. And that match, weirdly, made it worse. Geelong in finals is no surprise with their perennially-biased home ground umpiring, but if you'd told me a year ago that Richmond would leapfrog us into finals and be one game away from a Grand Final, I'd have laughed in your face. I guess it's just jealousy. Richmond have gone from heartbreaking embarrassment who've taunted and teased supporters for decades to being one match away from a Grand Final. Maybe it gives hope that we could finally shed this petulant skin of soft underbelly old-Melbourne and finally take that next step. I don't know how many more years of crushing disappoint I can take.

    If the Eagles lost Essendon would've had a better percentage in the end but you're right, this is just pointless theoreticals now. Point is, none of these outcomes happened and we're mere observers now, for the 11th year running. This is also correct, I'm still just fuming. I don't think I've ever felt more hurt over a bloody game of football in my life. It proved the culmination of our whole season. It's just maddening thinking of all the leaked goals, all the tight losses, all the 1 percenters that may have been the difference between 9th and playing in a semi/prelim.

    No, Richmond are, which is how Richmond are dead certs to make the Grand Final now.

    By looking at the run to finals we could have had. We would've beaten Port. We might have stumbled against GWS. But Port at AO, GWS at Spotless then Richmond at the MCG is a dream run in a finals series, make no mistake (especially with GWS back in rubbish form).

    Richmond will play in the Grand Final. They only need to beat Port (pretenders, garbage team who have only beaten Sydney and West Coast in the top 8), West Coast (garbage team, unworthy of finals, flat track bullies) or GWS (haven't won at the MCG this year). We threw a near-monty Grand Final appearance in the bin, folks. Let that sink in.

    I wanted both teams to lose tonight because I can't stand either of them. I think I can't stand Geelong just that little bit more though. Thoroughly unlikeable coach, thoroughly unlikeable players (led by captain Duckwood and his brother Duckwood Jnr) and thoroughly appalling conduct in recent years (remember Mitch Clark and the way Geelong [censored] us over?). So I guess I'm slightly less unhappy that Richmond won, if that makes sense. Just makes me angry thinking about Melbourne again. This could have been our year, based on GWS' form.

    The latter. I'm saddened that our record of winning a final more recently than Richmond looks set to expire, but credit to them. They've turned themselves around while we continue to wallow in the misery that is Melbourne. We are the new Richmond.
