Not all that impressed with Kelly's performances so far, but it would certainly be ironic. GWS have basically locked away all their best 22 players, but their depth is extraordinary. They're only really losing fringe players every trade period.

Just makes Boyd's rising star nomination last week all the more laughable. Anyone who actually watched the game and didn't just read the stats knows he had minimal impact and was gifted 3 of his 4 goals.

Classic propaganda technique, not unlike the way the extremely right-wing Fox News continually call themselves "fair and balanced" while attacking all other media for being lefties. It's their way of pushing the idea of 'neutrality' further in their direction. Basically an attempt to paint the ridiculously pro-Essendon media as "neutral". Pathetic and the all-too-predictable next step for Hird's ilk to keep public perception in his favour. I think that's well and truly a lost cause. The only people against the WADA appeal now appear to be Essendon supporters.

Just as long as they keep him for another fortnight, please! I can see the dump Hird campaign hitting fever pitch once we destroy the drug cheats. Never underestimate the scrutiny clubs seem to go under whenever they lose to us!

None of them will come out and say it publicly, but the opinion of Essendon amongst the 17 other clubs is about as low as it gets. Players despise them and everyone with two brain cells knows what they've gotten away with (so far).

Guess he won't get that premiership on a silver platter after all. Well, best of luck with the recovery, Chip. Was interesting to hear the comments from Ratten earlier on 3AW when quizzed about Frawley's form. Reading between the lines it seems the club are a bit perplexed at how long it's taking him to become educated on the Hawks' structures. Bomber mentioned that players are constantly pointing at him to get into the right positions. You'd think another season on the sidelines could really hurt his integration with the team. The bigger question: does Lake go on next year?

Definitely a moral dilemma, this game. Want to see both teams lose so, so much.

Gotta love how the media spent the entire week not only telling Essendon they needed to pull their fingers out, but even mapped out entire strategies for how to rattle and beat the Hawks. Robbo was especially shameless on 360 when he had Lewis and Goddard on, basically telling Goddard the entire plan to throw the Hawks off. Amazing how 17 other teams don't get that kind of red carpet treatment from the media.

It was definitely a win win deal I reckon. Except for Fremantle, they well and truly stuffed that up... but he was a free agent, so it didn't cost them anything really.
