Dunstan is the obvious medical sub. If the mix isn’t working someone will stub their toe and allow the substitution

Jack Viney is a huge loss. His form has been fantastic and complements Trac and Clarrie perfectly. It will be interesting to see how they adjust.

I love Gus and his courage in the Grand Final makes him a Demon legend IMO - but I do wonder about his longevity in the game, mainly because he lacks pace and will likely slow down in the next couple of years. He reminds me of Tom Rockcliff who was a great player early but he slowed up and retired quite early. Having said that, I would hate to see him go.

Very ironic that this is coming from Brad Scott who, when in the coaches box, was notorious for waving his arms and dropping his jaw when decisions didn’t go his way.

This only confirms my long held view of Brad Scott. Wa-ker maximus.

Just savoured a replay. What stood out was the great game Spargo played - almost BOG, TMac was critical to several goals and was better than the stats suggest and Viney in and under is elite.

After last nights game it’s clear why Petty is preferred to Tomlinson. He is a much better player - more mobile, great hands and a good physical presence. An important cog in the wheel.

Sparrow, like all young players will have form fluctuations but I think he brings a lot to the side and is firmly entrenched in the best 22. Choco needs to help his kicking into the forward line but he is a good set shot. I reckon he will be a 200 gamer
