No one deserves to be dropped but probably Kozzie and TMac are the two players most out of form.

i thought Smith was pretty good. He gave up one goal but apart from that was solid - marked well and attacked the ball and provided attack and carry. would be stiff to miss.

Just watched a replay of the game. Max had a great game. Could have kicked 4 goals but was off target but he racked up possessions and laid some important tackles. Easing into the season nicely .

same was said about Howes last week - someone taking the pi$$

I think Max’s game has been underrated - in addition to his hitouts, 22 possessions 12 of which were contested, 6 clearances @ 80% efficiency. Not a bad nights work.

I am so impressed with Gus this year. Also JJ on the wing has been very good and allowed him to spend time down back. It may become a permanent set up even when Rick and Salem comes back. Gus is a great clubman and must get a decent long contract. We can’t afford to lose him.

The needs to be a Royal commission looking at the relationship between the umpires and the bulldogs. Maybe Bevos gangsta mo intimidates them.

The humid slippery conditions were very much against the big men against the suns. Very few marks were taken. Also I think Max was shafted by the umpires when against English. A greater sample of games is needed before writing Max off.

I don’t disagree in general, but I see Bowser as very grounded and unlikely to get a big head so very happy for him to receive all the plaudits he richly deserves.
