It’s a brutal industry and I feel very sorry on a personal level for Goody and his family but the performances over the past 2 years meant his time was up. I’m sure he felt that he could turn things around but there is a fine line between self-belief and delusion. I hope he finds something good for himself in the future.

If the time taken to find a CEO is anything to go by, we may be in for a long wait.
