Hardwick's snarling looks in the box. -
Glad Spargo is getting some recognition- he and Nibbler, in no small measure, have been crucial to making us the best forward pressure side in the comp. I’m also so rapt in Nibblers vast improvement with his ball use and finishing in front of goal. That snag from the boundary was a turning point in the game.

i have been a critic of Melksham in the past but he cant be dropped after his game against Hawthorn. In addition to his goals, he set up Jones with a fantastic kick - a goal he should have kicked and was pivotal in several others. ANB is crucial to the improved forward pressure so i doubt he will be going anywhere. IN: Fritter, May and Weed Out: Brown, Petty and Jordon (unlucky)

Even though Jackson isn’t tearing games apart he is holding his own in the ruck and getting plenty of ball. He is allowing Max to drift forward and back and is a big factor in Max having a stellar season.

May be, but I understand our salary cap is tight so I’m not sure if we would be able to reward Trac and Salem adequately and pay big bucks for someone from another club who would demand top dollar.

Sparrow with his tackling and intensity reminds me of AVB but with better skills and more discipline. Just needs to get more ball.

just goes to show how difficult it is for a backman to get recognised let alone be awarded a brownlow. Most would agree that Lever was among the very best on ground but nothing according to the so-called experts.

Trac Lever Viney Clarrie Gawn langdon Salem was also great. Couldn’t fit Fritter in despite 5 goals. Hunt is probably our most improved and I thought Jetta and Tomlinson stood up in the absence of May.

I’m on the fence about Weed but too much is being made of his performance today. It was his first game after a significant injury on a wet, windy day at Casey - hardly the right conditions for tall forwards.
