Reading newspaper from the west Hogan should remain a Demon on big bucks. The club will not progress as much as most will anticipate in 2017. Brisy getting a priority draft pick is o.k ………… Brisy and Gc need all the help they can get,those clubs cannot hang on to young players that come from interstate,players are turning into sooks or/and become greedy. Gc should only have been formed if a Victorian based club re-locates.

Praha,if Spencer wants to seek opportunities elsewhere,we shouldn't stand in his way.Regarding contracts Cloke for example has another year to run,but I bet my bottom dollar he is playing elsewhere,there are many many examples where players have been traded whilst under contract. A player can walk once his contract is up,the club still gets a draft.

I am sure you cannot "rookiie" someone for more than 3yrs which means Max King will get the chop. Spencer could end up being traded surely he wants to play seniors and not be anyones sidekick. Bisbance,GC may be interested. If we cannot get Hibberd for the right currency then we should go for Marchbank,GWS are much easier to deal with than EFC. Dunn,Garland and Dawes all of whom are getting little senior game time may want more.At this stage we cannot get a 1st round pick so hopefully there are some diamonds in the rough in our latter draft round picks. Salem will become a midfielder which means ANB could be traded. Garlett may need to do some midfield work due to lack of opportunities to score in the forward line.

I go on the theory everytime someone expects a team to fail or to worse off than the previous year it does not happen and when you expect a team to brak the house down at times it does not happen. Call it Murphy's law if you wish. I wait with "baited" breathe to see where you rate the teams for next year. Hawthorn,Geelong,Swans,Adelaide will lose one more game than this year. Dogs and Gws to finish top 4. Carlton to win 2 more games than this year. Lions and GC to fight out wooden spoon. Pedo has been mention as a tall forward/ruck at 193 cm. O'Mac,Weed and Watts are taller and Frost is around the same ht as Pedo. Why not use the taller players as back up ruckman or call them ruck-rovers? How tall is Keity does anyone know?

Demons11,I remember when we pick up Kelvin Templeton from the Dogs,100 goal kicker one year,we also got Peter Moore a Brownlow medalist from Collingwood.Those two top class players played for the Dees in 1983,84 and 85. In 83 Pies 6th,Dogs 7th and the Dees 8th.in 84 Pies 4th,Dogs 7th and Dees 9th. in 85 Dogs 2nd,Pies 7th Dees 11th. Each of those year the comp.was called the VFL and it consisted of a final five. Based on you way of thinking we should have been better than the Pies and Dogs.The supporters may also think there goes success yet the Pies and Dogs each played in a final from 83-85,we didn't. There are many more cases that I can quote. What happens if Hogan demands a ridiculous sum of money and we then find ourselves unable to keep the likes of Oliver,Petracca,Brayshaw etc.

Hogan cannot hold the Dees to ransom. We no longer need to rely on one person. We are also in an awkard position by not having a number one draft pick. Goodbye Hogan and good luck excvept when playing the Dees.

What about getting Sam Reid from Sydney, the Swans can easily cover him.

AngryAtCasey, The 22 you have selected is not too bad,the problem is N.Jones get a lot of the footy,Gawn wins a majority of the tap outs.You would think we would have won more games than we have. Vince tends to run hot and cold. Hogan doesn't do enough and Garlett also doesn't do enough. Kudos for the Del Santo idea. Personally I would give the captaincy to someone else and to play him(Nat) in another position than what he has been used to. We need a Dangerfield or Treloar,hopefully Oliver or Brayshaw could become that person next year.Salem might also be that person as well. Hopefully Petracca could become close to an Alan Jakovich.

AF,the coahing transition is relatively smooth. Goodwin has to be his own man and if he changes the coaching staff good on him. Our recruiters in conjunction with the coach need to continue the work of Roos and co. Since this who are the Dees chasing at what cost thread,here is a hypothetical if we trade Hogan to Freo would we get their first round pick (bare min.) or will we get another pick earlier than our second round pick in other words two 2nd rd picks?. The Hawks didn't get an earlier pick for Buddy. How can we get Prestia and 2M Peter? As I said B4 I am not a Hibberd fan but will entertain the idea that EFC will get a 2nd round pick and a 4 th round pick plus we get their 3rd pick.

Pedo stats were interesting,when he played we won more games. But consider what games won (team stats) and player stats would be if we played the Cats,Dogs,Kangaroos etc twice. Even the teams improvement may be non existent. Pedo is a better option than Dawes and the Weed which I am at a loss to why he gets the axe. The Weed is not strong enough at this pt in time and say no more about Dawes.

Unless we are going to give up someone of quality and that person could be Hogan we are not going to get early draft picks which we really need. Our problem was we recruited duds in the past thus we need another round of re-build.
