  1. This one baffles me. I have been impressed with Brisbane's young brigade standing up late in the year when many teams are lying down and taking their lickings. I have no doubt that this young team will rise up fast in the AFL ranks. Having said that I think many underestimate North. I don't believe they will challenge in past the first week in September but I do believe they should be able to take care of Brisbane or at the very least be respected enough because of their form this year to be favourites on paper. Go Lions.
  2. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than seeing him sitting in the stands with the rest of the punters during September.
  3. I meant in the context of a non Melbourne game that I usually don't break out of a brisk walk.
  4. The only reason there is talk about footy being dead is because the AFL has gifted teams like Carlton, St Kilda and Bulldogs Prime Time spots.
  5. Enjoy the long drive back to Geelong.
  6. Got the heart pumping.
  7. Cats got this.
  8. I think Bruce is going to propose to Kelly.
  9. It'll be tough for the Cats now. Percentage Tigers
  10. Geelong get the softest free kicks.
  11. Geelong will win this.
  12. Richmond wasteful going forward. Remind you of anyone.
  13. I never miss an opportunity to try on a new veil of negativity.
  14. Actually the most MFCSS thing that could happen this Round is for all the results we want to come off and then we lose. ?
  15. Geelong are certainties tonight. How's that for MFCSS by proxy.
  16. You're killing me.
  17. Gil tried to compare the AFLW season length with The World Cup saying "The World Cup goes for four weeks, you wouldn’t call that a Mickey Mouse tournament." I think he forgets that the world cup finals starts 30 months earlier in the qualifiers and involves over 200 countries.
  18. I think Saty took this photo.
  19. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2018-08-03/walker-bowled-over-by-new-career HE WAS once teammates with the likes of Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo and Aaron Finch. And now Guy Walker will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Nathan Jones, Jack Viney and Max Gawn, after he was secured by Melbourne as a category B rookie. Walker, 22, will officially join the club on November 1 in the lead-up to the 2019 AFL season. Before this date, he will only be able to complete a limited number of AFL approved sessions with the club. And he will not be able to train with the AFL squad. Walker will be Melbourne’s second category B rookie for the 2019 season, after Austin Bradtke – the son of former Australian basketballer Mark – was claimed via the same rule earlier in the year.
  20. Huge week for the Dees this week in Non-MFC games. Obviously we want the Tigers to win. We need the Dons to do us a few favours in the run home and this is a huge one. The Lions are the only real chance of a team knocking off the Kangas in the run home. No brainer that we want the Crows to win. We want Sydney to win if we can win 3 or 4 games but Collingwood if we're only going to win 1 or 2. If you want to go down the rose coloured glasses route then Freo knocking off the Eagles would help out my Top 2 dream.
  21. Daisy slams the handling of the AFLW competition calling it a "simmicky tournament" after it was reported in the Herald Sun today that each club in the upcoming AFLW home-and-away season will play just six games, with two weeks of finals. This comes despite the league expanding to 10 clubs. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2018/08/02/a-gimmicky-tournament-pearce-slams-afl's-handling-of-aflw/
  22. It's been a hard slog for almost 2 decades now.
