Bruce as captain

Well, this is it.

Our club has hit rock bottom. I take solace in the fact it will never get worse.

Does that mean the sniffling country member is now going to keep his word and be Gone!!

Sniffler you made the comment.

You are only as good as your word!!

Once a country member always a country member

Have you ever made a post NOT about Yze_Magic?

While i doubt 8 weeks of captaincy will bother Junior you just never know what affect it has on Bruce

Might just surprise us with some consistent form as he has shown us he can play

What does JMac have to do to get the captaincy?

Unbelievable, co-captains...

The bloke has won the last 2 b+f's and is a model citizen and footy player.

Sheesh.

This decision just highights the state of our list, or more specifically the quality of our senior players and their leadership capabilities. Unfortunately the problem was compounded when they dropped Green from the leadership group and added Miller & Yze, a prime example of why players should stick to playing and not be responsible for crucial decisions.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
