Whos who, because team names dont match aliases on the forums (some do)

Im team [sMAK]

I'm "Dee Division" the current league leader (just)...

I don't have a link, but I can say I was utterly devastated by my first round loss against Jarka's Jokers, who had the bottom score after the 'pre-season'!

Heh, that's funny, I think I won by a mere 10 points which just rubs salt into the wound. What happened was that I was so busy with work and family that I completely forgot to update the team, so for the first 3 weeks my scores were crap. Still not great though, around 300 off the leaders.

I'd just gotten my team to be capable of 2000+ scores, then had an absolutely horrid week. I think I had three starting midfielders who scored less than 50 points. It was only on the back of a good performance by a couple of my stars that I didn't get the bottom score of the round completely.

The boys got a good old spray after the game!!

I'm not in Demonland 1 but 3 and am loving supercoach, its the first season i've played. I'm Procrastinators and am doing pretty well leading our comp. Only problem is, I've used a fair number of trades already and the injuries have only just started! Yikes. I think I'll be coming back to the pack before long.

Ive traded 2 times every week. Just 12 trades left for rest of the year but team is really becomming settled now. Nearly all my emerg are getting runs aswell

I'm "The Showstoppers", but you may have picked that HBK and Showstopper probably go together..

Have used 14 trades and now have a full bench (apart from backs) playing and finally came to my senses and got rid of any Melbourne connection and finally got a Geelong midfielder..

you could of only had 8 trades thus far. I think, 2 a week thats it.

My bad meant to say I have 14 trades left ;)

I'm in the same boat gOLLY, it's taken 4 rounds to clear out the dead-wood and to pick up some players while they were still cheap.

But I should be pretty solid for the rest of the season, 12 trades should easily cover any long-term injuries.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
