No, jumper sponsors do not affect what boots you can wear, i think years ago it did.

Yeah that was the basis of the Koutoufidies saga in 2001 (I think 01, maybe 99?), he had his sponsorship with adidas while Carlton were sponsored by Nike (or something along those lines).

Now players wear whatever they like, but they get better access to the boots that the clubs gear sponsor provides, naturally.
