Judd is ruining my education

Straight Sets Simon

Recommended Posts

I have:

- an exam

- a folio

- an assignment

- a presentation

All due when I finish my holidays (go back the day Trade Week starts, bloody brilliant!).

So far I have done:

- Chris Judd research on Demonland, Demonology, BigFooty, SEN, 3AW and various newspaper websites

Likelihood of me failing at least 1 of the above 4, given I also have to attend my job in the next week: 90%

I've two outstanding assignments; one worth 35%, the other worth 40%. One is 1500 words, the other 2000 words. One is overdue by two and a half weeks, the other is overdue by one. In the past two days Ive done nothing.

Ive come here occasionally for the last year, mostly to read what other people think of players performances after a game. I never really thought of getting an account and posting, until now, because for the last two days Ive been completely glued to 'ology and 'land, refreshing threads every 10 minutes in case something new has come up. People keep posting about things they've heard on foxtel or SEN, and I have to refrain from screaming at the computer telling them to give a more detailed account.

Im going absolutely batsiht.

Bugger it. Tomorrow Im going to uni, getting a special consideration form, stapling a photo of the man to the front of it and handing it in. Surely they'll understand.

I could nearly assure everyone i will fail at least 1 subject because of this saga

However...

The problem i foresee once judd signs is....... I won't be able to concentrate until i see him play in a red and blue jumper

Can anyone come up with some numbers of how many new memebers of Demonland have registered since "Juddmania" began? Surley it must have spiked.

43 members have joined since the "JUDDMania" forum was created. The entire Judd saga started a few days before that so it would probably be in excess of 50.

I have a 4,000 word assignment due in next friday. I started the it day before Judd announced his decision to quit the Eagles. Since then, I have completed 400 words. There is no doubt in my mind that I will fail this subject, and will not receive my degree for another 8 months.

Damn it!

Yep, I'm in the same boat.

I know that I should be working on some assignments, but hell, I figure that if i spend just a little bit more time searching on the net, that i'll find some confirmation.

This is killing me.

i am just as bad as you all. i have 4 assignments due end of next week totalling 11,000 words and have done sweet FA on all (plus ive got teaching rounds during trade week)!

if judd comes to dees, makes it all worthwhile!

I'm doing nightshift at the moment and the one bonus of that is I can get on the computer and continue my study, haven't done jacksheisen in the last week and a half and go back on days next week.

I've especially put off all plans tonight so that I can get some work done... maybe I need to also throw my laptop out of the window for that to happen!

I don't know what's worse, the fact that I'm going to fail, or the fact that I've taken to reading BigFooty to get some news...

If I had not fallen ill at the end of Year 10 and deferred from studies, I would be hard at it preparing for VCE exams right now = I should be in the same position as most of you.

Oh no, we're not hard at it preparing for VCE exams right now.

We SHOULD be hard at it preparing for VCE exams right now, but instead find ourselves (or moreso myself) reading about Judd, and refreshing the Demonland pages a few dozen times every minute to wait for the faded red box to turn bright red again, rather than reading about Plath or the Constitution.

We think we're good for staying home on a Saturday night instead of joining our newly-legal friends on the town, but really, not much work is getting done...all because of Judd and this impending decision.

Ah well.. it is only the rest of my life on the line here!

It's really not.

VCE is just another mark. It's a number and it makes little to no difference to the rest of your life.

Take it from someone who was told constantly that VCE is so important. It's NOT!

Do the best you can and enjoy year 12, it's one of the best years you'll ever have.

Yep, couldn't agree more.

Then again... I'm just some bum who dropped out of year 12.

But now I'm doing post-grad, so go figure.

Never forget - sit a one-day test when you turn 21 (Special Tertiary Admissions Test) and you can be into Uni with barely more delay than the rich kids who did a 'gap' year backbacking around Europe posing as Swedes and assaulting footballers...

Godd VCE is a useful thing, but don't freak out too much.

This man should be condemned for sending so many supporters off the rails waiting for a decision.

I'm sitting here watching races on my computer ... there's a problem with another website and I need to close it down, but it interferes with my race viewer. The caller is saying: "As they greet the judge for the first time..."

However, the viewer starts screwing up and looping the last audio it heard. What did I get?

"As they greet the Judd ..."

"As they greet the Judd ..."

"As they greet the Judd ..."

"As they greet the Judd ..."

"As they greet the Judd ..."

"As they greet the Judd ..."

:huh::wacko::blink::unsure:

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Once again inaccuracy and inefficiency going inside 50 rears it's ugly head as the Demons suffered their second loss on the trot and their fourth loss in five games as they go down to the Pies by 38 points on Kings Birthday at the MCG.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag
